There are several of these around town, but this is the best. Food is always good and consistent. It comes out quick. Servers are solid. If they make a mistake they own it. Good country food at a good price.
Food is always good. Squash Casserole is delicious and I love their chef salad. Service is fast and staff is friendly. I don't know the name of young lady with the red braids but she's a sweetheart.
Worst service I ever had. Waited 30 minutes and never even got service. Last time I step foot in the door.
This is the best Lizard's Thicket around South Carolina. We stopped on a Sunday about noon thinking we may have a long wait with the after church crowd -- we only waited 10 minutes to get seated and our waitress had our food to the table in 10 minutes and we were paying our check in less than 25 minutes!!!!! Great service from super waitress, delicious food, and all employees helpful! I told the West Columbia hostess they need a location in Charleston!
At the oak Grove location, I got the small plate with a chicken thigh mashed potatoes and White country gravy, and green beans. None of the food was hot. It was room temperature. I think the green beans was the warmest thing on the plate. I never complain about Lizards Thicket but I think I will this time. I'm a real regular customer and I deserve my food hot. I see people send stuff back and I try never to do that because I've worked in the restaurant business and I really like lizards Thicket. But I noticed that I've gotten my breakfast eggs cold at a different location. I want my mashed potatoes& gravy to be hot and my chicken warm. I'll be back in the future.

The food was very good. The waitress Amber was very nice and helpful. She even was willing to get me a waffle after we were already eating. I asked and she was very polite.
Thought about how the versus still effects our daily way of life and then saw how the Williams family have provided a family friendly environment safe for all to come. For all to sit,order and enjoy a home cooked meal just like grandma always fixed when all would gather at her house on Sundays. Our church had our Christmas party here. It was wonderful!! We had one big room to ourselves. The waitresses was AWESOME!! They keep us filled with whatever we was drinking. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food. All the staff members were very welcome and friendly. This is a wonderful place and fast place to have your party's at. Thank you Lizard's Thicket and Staff for a wonderful place to have our Christmas Party. Merry Christmas!! ???❤✝️
Stopped here yesterday (New Years) to get my mom a dinner. The employee that was outside taking orders was so friendly and helpful. Mom said the food was really good too. Beef stew/rice, collards, yams, and blackberry cobbler.
