I ordered two(2) biscuits at this location and way very dissatisfied. #1did not received a receipt, #2 the same employee that works the cash register handled my biscuits with her bare hands #3 half way ? I noticed the biscuits were hard so I drove back to lizard to speak with the manager on duty and explained my visit, #4 the manager asked if I wanted a replacement my reply was that I wanted a refund, #5 since being inconvenienced a good manager would have given me my refund which he did and also he should have offered me fresh baked biscuits free of charge! Obviously it seems as though this manager needs a course in how to satisfy a customer in the hope that he/she will return!
Hair in cranberry sauce. Vomit. The server was beyond apologetic and the manager took our meals off the bill as we hadn't even eaten much at all yet. So disgusting. Appetites ruined for the evening.
Everything was good and the prices are OK, but my eggs weren't cooked as ordered, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately when asked how a dish is wanted for doneness and its not correct, that's your job. Eggs over easy, vs over medium vs over hard. If it were a steakhouse it would get even less stars.
Good food and seasoned just right. Smell delightful and taste delicious.
My husband and I are big fans of Lizard's Thicket. As seniors, we eat out several times a week. It was at his request we went there today. I ordered baked chicken, collards, squash casserole and black eye peas. The chicken was cool, I took 2 bites and it was chewy, not cooked through. I told the waiter and he removed it from our ticket. Our daughter ordered the country fried steak. It was thick and covered in gravy, when cut the batter fell off and left unappetizing grey meat. Again waiter saw it and took it off our bill. The squash in the casserole was tough, the peel came of in whole circles when you tried to cut a bite. My husband's fried chicken was served hot, and his cabbage and rice and gravy were good. I understand they have staffing issues, and have to hire inexperienced cooks, but we will not be back. I have been nauseated all afternoon after eating there. There were only three other couples in restaurant at 4:30. I overheard another customer complaining about her food, and another simply didn't eat hers, it was their first time at Lizards. They have gone up on prices and quality of food served has declined. As we paid at the register, we noticed the dessert case. Boxes of Chef Pierre pies. The Williams family would not be proud of what this restaurant is serving.

I’m from the south, Charleston area so I know how this place taste. I currently live in Ohio and I bring my bff with me as I was seeing family. Took her to this place and omg, we had it like almost everyday for the remainder of our trip. Now we are back in town for my nephew college graduation (I love you Dominique, we’re all so proud) and we took the drive over night. Left around 11pm and got into town here at 11am. We didn’t go to the hotel and unload and reset. Nah, we went here first ? because the food is so good. This place is awesome with their service and food. Definitely a 5 star must have.
Had a lovely breakfast with my son. Lizard's Thicket is a great place to have a plain, down home, filling meal. Not a lot of low carb choices but they're there. Try their Alabama Slaw - it's great!
Just had an great meal with the family. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Just the Sunday meal we wanted. Our sever Bianca was the best!! She even sent something back and didn’t bring it to our table because the wasn’t satisfied with how it came out. Talk about pride in your work and customer service, she exemplifies it! Will definitely be back when we are in town again and requesting Bianca!!
I had your side of crispy liver pudding with two over-easy eggs on top, sprinkled with a loving amount of black pepper along an order of cracked beef biscuits and gravy. Everything was very good ☺ Thank you for my meal!
