After reading the reviews I thought we had found a new go to, but sadly no! The first time the hush puppies were over fried and the French fries were not good, ribs were dry and tough, sauce was delicious though! Since everyone can have a bad day we went back, sadly it was worse! My fries were cold, fish was barley warm, that’s not a bad day that’s just bad business! Both times we had great service from our servers so I wish the food was better!
My partner and I go every few weeks for the Sunday lunch buffet. The prices are amazing, usually about $35 for 2 people all you can eat. The buffet doesn’t looks like much when you first walk in, but this is true southern cooking that is beyond filling. Also one of the few places that has quality fried catfish available. I especially go for the southern Mac and cheese.
The best food and customer service!! Great prices. I had the buffet and it's hard to find good mac & cheese and potato salad in the same place; they had both and it was the best!! 5 stars
We had the pulled pork and it was tender, smoky and juicy! Loved all three of the sauces! The sides were as delicious as the pork especially the collard greens - perfection, green beans - seasoned perfectly, and the coleslaw - fresh and not overly dressed. What made the experience really special was the attention we were given by our server, Jordan. She was working multiple responsibilities but always made us feel as if we were the only ones in the room. After a day of travel, her customer care was excellent and a real treat. If ever we are back in Lexington, we will head for Hudson's!

Absolutely love this local restaurant! Menu or buffet. I always choose buffet because I gotta have everything! Plenty of parking, tons of seating, clean facilities, and always friendly staff.
Food was fresh and quite tasty. The peach cobbler was dry, no juice. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The selection foods were small great for a barbecue place. I definitely recommend.
Dropped in to order take out while traveling for spring break. Stopped in and ordered at the bar. Found a nice, clean, place with a nice atmosphere and several cold beers on tap while I waited. The food was really good, freshly prepared and not something you'd get from a chain. Excellent little hush puppies for an appetizer. My husband had the BBQ platter with three sides and I had the chicken tenders basket. Everything was very tasty. I highly recommend.
Just had some of the best food I've ever eaten here. My husband and I ordered hushpuppies as an appetizer, and shared the brisket plate with added fried catfish. It was all incredible. The hushpuppies were slightly sweet and fried to crispy perfection. The brisket was so good I didn't need any sauce with it, perfectly moist and delicious all on its own. The Mac and cheese is hands down the best I've ever had, it didn't have that fake Velveeta taste, just good yummy cheese. Now I'll say this, I usually dislike cream corn because I find it bland and only ordered it because my husband likes it. Let me tell you this opened a whole new world. It was seasoned really nice and the creamy flavor was top notch, but it wasn't too salty or over bearing. The fried catfish was well seasoned and came out piping hot, and it wasn't watery and flavorless on the inside like many other places I've tried, the fish inside was nice and meaty and tasted delicious. We also had ghe mashed potatoes and gravy, did not taste like it was from a box like most places, they were nice and creamy and delicious. Now let me tell you, with the appetizer and the one plate with added protein, even tho my husband and I shared it, we still walked away with a box packed with leftovers. This is truly a feat because my husband can really pack it away, the portions were just massive. I don't think I will ever be able to get barbeque anywhere else again, this is too good. Will be back multiple times for sure.
Nothing bad to say. All good. Update ...just went again got something I had not had before. It was great. 5 people in our party..all different orders...all great. Young man that was waitperson, Jackson D ,was great! Very attentive.
