We enjoyed our first visit today this restaurant. The sesame chicken and broccoli was delicious. Enough food for everyone to bring a little home. The waiter accidentally brought chicken for one meal instead of tofu, but immediately made it right by having the kitchen bring a free portion of tofu as a replacement.
Tried this restaurant because my favorite Japanese place was closed. I must say i was highly impressed. The food was delicious! Only thing that i didn't care for was the soup that comes with the entree the taste was good however it was cold, and the steak comes as a full steak so i had to chop it up myself. But the food was amazing. And i ordered sushi. It was so crunchy and good. I really enjoyed the chicken which was dark meat. I will definitely go back again.
Pretty good. Decent size portions but about the quality you would get at a chain like Yamato. Not sure if it was worth the price especially since you don't get a show when you order hibachi.
My Bride and I just had a great sushi lunch. We split everything and I’m so full. Lite supper tonight. Everything was surprisingly good and we really enjoyed our eel and California rolls along with tempura veggies. Wednesday is a good day for lunch as they have a lot of small rolls priced reasonably.
I just went there last night. The atmosphere to service is amazing. A perfect place for any occasion from a business meeting to date night. I would say the food is amazing but the other reviews already say more than enough on that.
Never been to Ganbei before and it was quite an experience. Although the selection is a bit limited the food was amazing. And the drinks are A1. Our server was polite and attentive and it was a great experience.
April 2022: I wish I could rate this place higher but because I remember how it used to be it’s just not the same for us. It took us over an hour to get two rolls tonight. I would see people come and go ordering after us… it has become cleaner since two years ago so that’s a plus but you barely get anything with the $13 rolls anymore. It may as well be the starters at $6. My roll tasted almost exactly the same as Publix… so that part has changed. They obviously forgot about us because the rice was getting hard and they were stuck together like you’d find at a grocery store. It was really disappointing :( I’ll have to find a better sushi restaurant and maybe give this place a try in a couple years.April 2020: The first time I came here a couple years ago it was super clean, the ambiance was amazing and the food was great! Everything's starting to get a lil worn down, menus are dirty and smell sour but I don't hold it too much against them. The food is still amazing although I really wish they still had green tea ice cream! This place is still one of our top food stops.
Cute patio suitable for mid-afternoon and evening dining out of the sun. Delicious shumai, seaweed salad, and snapper and tuna and salmon sushi. Inside was cave-like, so we opted for the patio.
Food was amazing. I will say the waiter that we had was very visibly in the weeds. We didn't get the soup or salads and the appetizer came out with the meal. We asked for the soup and salad to go so we did eventually get them. Would still definitely go back
This was always my go to sushi place and I get the same rolls every time cause I love it so much. No complaints on food. Sometimes it's made better then others for to go but it's never bad. Not to happy with a big price increase. The one I used to get was priced at $7.50 till recently it went up $9.75. Big price jump when you order 4 rolls per order. Just 2 cents.
