We had a pleasant dining experience. We were seated quickly and the servers were very attentive to all of our needs. I’m not a big fan of bean dip in general, but my husband and daughter were fanatical about it. The setting was pleasant and clean, including bathrooms. The food was good. The salsa bar was cute, however, I didn’t care for the taste of any of the varieties they offered… I thought it was a little bland. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and would come again.
My boyfriend and I are avid mexican food fans. We decided to branch out from the always trusty san jose’s and try something new. We heard good things, and read good things, but did not experience good things. It is hard to mess up salsa- but they did. It was like biting into straight oregano and garlic powder. It’s hard to mess up a beef and cheese only taco- but they did. You know the taste hard shells have before you put them in the oven? Yeah, just like that… and the ground beef- I can make better at home with a taco bell seasoning kit. The absolute most disappointing part was the chimichanga. I craved one all day. How could anyone mess that up? Welp, they did. Not only was the “salad” a literal pinch of MCDs shredded lettuce, and a half a dollop of hot sour cream- but I cut halfway through the chimichanga without reaching even the smallest bite of chicken. Im giving 2 stars because the margarita came out fast, the service was good, and the margarita was tasty. But if you like the simplicity of good mexcican food- 10/10 do not recommend. Hate to be a Karen, and rarely leave reviews but i truly would do a disservice not to share the horrible experience. In route to pick up my togo order from San Jose.
Good spot for an easy dinner. Service is good. Place is lively, we like it & recommended it.Its not quiet so don't go for low volume conversation.A place to have some fun & eat good food.
Went for early lunch. I ordered the shrimp taco plate. When my meal came, i didn't see a single shrimp on either of the tacos. I thought they forgot what I ordered. The tacos come out open faced on soft tortillas with all kinds of delicious taco toppings that smothered the perfectly sautéed shrimp under it!! It's like getting a treasure chest from Aquaman when you discover all ur shrimp was simply marinating under the taco toppings. Lol! Hands down the best shrimp tacos I've ever had! Friend had chicken quesadilla lunch.. i was too busy inhaling my tacos to ask if his food was as good as mine! ? Service was prompt and friendly, and there's a lot of menu items to choose from. Side note: dip u get with ur chips.... its not salsa. It's like a queso and refried bean mix.. it was delicious and i enjoyed the change from the typical chips w/salsa starter most places serve u. Guac was fresh, yummy, and homemade as well. I'm definitely going back, and I definitely recommend this place to any mexican food fans!
Food was good, but a person in our group was brought something he didn't order. He gave it back but they still tried to charge him so make sure u know what your ordering.
First time eating at Brothers and Beer! My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. Hubby really liked the bean dip that comes with the tortillas! I got some medium spicy salsa and it was delicious! I ordered the Fajita Burrito with rice, hubby got ground beef burrito and we both liked our choices. The food reminds me of the authentic Mexican food I've eaten in Texas. However, be warned, the large Margarita is very very large, enough for 3 people!!! I would rate the food and service a 10!!!!! ?

The only things Californian were the prices and paper straws. Our waitress was nice, but the food was very bland and the salsa choices were awful.
Just went there tonight with a few coworkers, and we had an enjoyable time. Good margaritas, and I had an excellent sizzling steak salad. My friends also said they enjoyed their food.
Service was prompt, professional and courteous. Food had FLAVOR! Chargrilled burritos were delicious. Table side guacamole was seasoned well. Been dip is the traditional salsa they give you with chips, it was ok. But they have a salsa bar! The atmosphere was lively. Will go back!
