My boyfriend and I went there for our first time last night. The stuffed shells were simply amazing and I haven't had as delicious Italian food since I went to Italy, years ago! Will definitely be back!
Talk about great hand-tossed NY pizza! This is the best I have had since moving back. Great pie, great garlic knots, great service... Definitely a gem in Ballentine. Will be back. Ask for Sherry.
Good food. Had the chicken parmigiana. It was goid. A bit much mozzarella on top but other than that it was ok. The wife had a pizza, the crust was a bit cardboardy for my taste, but the toppings and sauce were ok. For the price it was good. I would go back.
The best New York style pizza! We also love their meatball subs. They make their own bread and it is fabulous!
Will not go back. All the good reviews are from years ago.. Evidently, I was interrupting her social time by picking up my pizza and the pizza was so light on toppings.
An incredible spot. Literally had a 4 course meal here—best food I’ve had out to eat in months! That lasagna was amazing. Took some to go entrees and desserts home for my family. They loved it. The desserts were so good this could be a dessert spot. The service and our server was prompt and great—especially with all we ate and drank. Appreciated they wore a mask as well.
I’ve been coming to Tonella’s for years. Always enjoy the food and service. Tonight was the worst customer service experience that I’ve ever seen in my life. Our waitress was very sweet and took great care of us. However there was another employee that was beyond rude!! She wouldn’t give us her name but had dark straight hair. We we’re still waiting on a to go order at 9:05 their hours are open til 9:00. She basically came over to us and said she had a life and had things to do. Mind you the rest of the staff was still cleaning up. I went up to ask for our to go order and ask her for a box for our dinner I tried to be nice. She basically cussed me out and began to yell about her personal life. I know it’s hard to find help these days….. someone like this shouldn’t be in the customer service industry!!!
So my family and I always come here we always get Alex one of your waitresses she is quite devine she comes fast with refills and our food. She is beyond kind. Don’t even get me started on the food It is amazing….hands down tasteful authentic Italian food! I went to the back and had to meet the chef (everyone calls him Joey) He and his crew works Their behinds off so There dinner guests get the very best! If I could rate this restaurant more stars I would 100% a must try. great family atmosphere ,clean , delicious food.
