A fave stop for BBQ that just had a face-lift inside. Just a few minutes off of I-26. Tasty food, friendly service, spacious inside.
I used to be a manager here at this exact location and I still continue to love Maurice’s BBQ! This location is in my opinion one of the best and nicest! No longer has buffet so if that’s what your looking for head down to the original drive in location in Columbia! Still do this day one of my favorite BBQ flavors
Worst place I've been for BBQ, which is surprising considering.Onion rings were awful. Hushpuppies had no flavor and the BBQ was cold.Do yourself a favor and drive somewhere else
Oh Dear Lord!! ? This is the BEST bbq ever, ANYWHERE!! Out doing sales calls in Columbia area, decided to eat "local" and pulled into a small Piggie Park. Totally blown away at the quality of the food!! Ordered pulled pork plate with bbq baked beans and mac n cheese. Portions were huge and food was amazing!!! Loved it so much, the next day I stopped on way out of town at Piggie Park in Irmo for one last lunch. Didn't think it could get better AND bigger, but it was!! ? Don't miss this place!!! Worth taking a break for a sit down meal. Maurice, keep doing it right!!
We went here to try the BBQ and we were not disappointed! They have all kinds of southern side to choose from, you can chose one meat of more and two or three sides with your meal! We found the brisket to be great and large servings on everything!
Me and my wife drive 100 miles just to have their BBQ. It never disappoints no matter how many times we go. Their sauce & hushpuppies are the absolute best. I recommend the Big Joe basket. I added a picture of our last meal just to get you hungry.
My boyfriend wanted fried okra so he went to Maurice's. He ordered and brought food home for dinner only to find there was NO okra. Not only that but the hush puppies had clearly been fried in old oil and sat for a while. At least the BBQ was decent. Might be a while before we go back.
Hush puppies were fabulous. Pulled pork was good, I could taste the dry mustard. Potato salad was okay. The mac n cheese was decent. I didn't care for the sausage, was overcooked. I got the 2 meat plate.
Love this place!! Everything I’ve ever had here is fantastic. Best baked beans & Mac n cheese ever!! The banana pudding is awesome. I also had a little Joe sandwich which was delicious.
The little Joe basket is my favorite. The BBQ is juicy and the bun is perfect. And i can make a complete meal out of the hush puppies. The sweet tea is better than most tea at other reataurants.
