Since moving to Columbia, I’ve searched high and low for that mythical treasure down south, the elusive glory without which urban life is lacking. I finally found a great Chinese food restaurant. Hunan Wok is wonderful. They will adjust the spice to your request (I like an acid explosion in my mouth), the food is fresh and made to order, and the workers answering the phone and ringing customers up are friendly. I would single out a standout dish, but everything but the wontons here are winners. My life is so much brighter since I discovered the Wok. It may be quite a drive for me to reach, but it never disappoints. It is always worth it. I might make it here in South Carolina after all…

Very good! Had a craving for fried chicken wings and fried rice. I ordered the 7 cut wings plain with plain fried rice. The wings were a good size, not huge. The coating was light and crispy and the chicken was super flavorful. The perfect wings. The rice was expertly cooked, each piece was nicely separated, and the rice was well seasoned with onions that still had crunch. Overall, it satisfied my craving and tasted exactly as I hoped it would. I've had other dishes here too - bourbon chicken, lo mein - and all were fresh and well prepared. Excellent neighborhood spot in Irmo for quality Chinese Food. Kudos!

Good menu, decent prices, good parking. No frills, typical Asian fast food menu. Takeout only. Wait time between ordering and food being ready is 15 minutes on a low-traffic day.

I gave them a 2 star because USUALLY I don’t have bad experiences with them, this one time……Anyway let me start off by saying idk what kind of price increase they have going on but omg. I ordered a 12 pc honey wing with beef fried rice. It came up to $18. Never again.Secondly, my boyfriend bit into the first piece of chicken and INSTANTLY gotten sick. He threw up by the bushes by the stop sign. I took a bite of the honey wings and noticed that it tasted differently and when I looked down the wings were gummy and yellow… and tasted just like KETCHUP. NOT TO MENTION THE BEEF. It was a weird texture and tasted funny.I originally thought my boyfriend was just over reacting but I started feeling queasy to my stomach as well. We were sick for at least 3 days. We couldn’t eat and our stomachs were hurting. After he vomited, he went into the store and showed them the 10 uneaten wings & offered to show them the vomit on the ground in case they thought we were lying. They said NO REFUND.It’s cool. I’m just giving you guys a heads up.

First time ordering. Tried the sesame combo & enough for 2 meals & was delicious. Found my go to for Chinese fix. Service was friendly.

Double charged me on food, could have saved 1/2 off if they ring my order up as a combo instead of A la cart .Make sure you read the menu and ask for the special because these people are crooks… $35 for two General Tso entrees is ridiculous

Long time standby local family owned standard Chinese takeout. Good food, good prices, and nice people. I order here at least once a week. A cut above most others in the area in terms of food quality.

Food Was Hot And Delicious! Waiting Time Was Short And The Service Was Very Nice! 10/10 Would Recommend. Coming Here More Often!!!!!!

The vegetable spring rolls from here are pretty bad, almost uneatable. Inside was very mushy and greasy. Will not be coming back.

I eat here often the foods always fresh and prepared skillfully
