This is my favorite local spot. The place is always clean and the food is always great. The bar staff is on it and very attentive. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner a few weeks ago and I was impressed with how friendly and welcoming he was to me and the rest of the patrons.
Average bar atmosphere with pool tables. There is also nice outside tables. It appears that the air conditioner inside was broken giving a strong chlorine smell and making it incredibly hot making inside unpleasant.
Family had some problems with there food they ordered and the AC seemed to be Malfunctioning making it a toasty. Yet the drinks were pretty good and the atmosphere was neat
This place is a neighborhood gem! We just had our 3rd Sunday in a row lunch at Hemingway's and the food is delicious! Large menu but I can't get away from the Cubano with side of vegetables. 3 times I ate every bite of the veggies before touching the Cubano! For Sunday afternoon this is a family friendly bar and grill. Large bar, pool tables and pinball and karaoke and live bands on Friday nights.The service is fast and friendly. We live in Lexington but so glad we decided to try Hemingway's 3 weeks ago. Outdoor seating available with a gorgeous tree planted on the patio that opens up to the sky around the tree. But the food! Go for the food and take home some Tex-Mex Egg rolls that come with a delicious sauce.
Food was okay. Burger was ordered medium but came out well done. Chicken Philly had no flavor. Beer selection was alright. Service wasn’t the best we’ve had; both bartender and server were consistently rude.
The first impression when walking in was that it was a normal bar. The pool tables were full and everyone seemed to be drunk. When we sat down at the bar it seemed to take forever to get the bartender to help us. The food and drinks were terrible. The bathrooms were gross, they smelled terrible and had flies. Won’t be back.
Went to Hemingway's last night in Irmo! Ran in to lot's of old friends and had a blast !Split Decision was the band entertaining a large crowd who loved their show! Our waitress was busy but was "on the spot" everytime we needed her! Will visit again and recommend you check Hemingway's out!
Bartender was fantastic. I asked for him to make me something fruity, as I hardly drink, and he made me the best drink I've had in a while. It was laid back, and a nice environment to be in.
Great tables, clean, and the food is amazing! Highly recommended.
We are new to the area. We stopped here because it's my birthday and the restaurant that I wanted to go to had over an hour wait. It was awesome! The cuban was great, service was great, and the thing called a rum bucket was great! I'm so glad my night didn't go as planned and we ended up aimlessly driving around. We will definitely be back.
