As a huge BBQ fan, I was really looking forward to ordering from here since I saw they also have hash (having lived in the upstate for the last 17 years where they don’t know what this is). I’ve traveled all over just for the different flavors and BBQ. Let me just say this is by far the worst BBQ I’ve ever had in my life. The “smoke smell” was completely overwhelming…almost like they drowned it in liquid smoke. The meat was extremely dry and all I could taste is the overwhelming smoky burned taste of what may be pork. Now on to the hash…I’ve seen beef stew in a can that is better than this stuff! We ordered family size meal and two containers of hash and we threw it all away eating only a couple bites. The sauce was a can of tomato paste and chili sauce basically with no flavor. Even the banana pudding was pitiful. I think In the entire container there was only two cookies in the pudding and no actual bananas. How this place is still in business I truly have no idea. If you have tastebuds and love BBQ I urge you to not waste your time nor you money. If I could post negative stars I would. I don’t like to post such negative reviews but I truly find this to be the worst BBQ experience ever.
We have ordered several times and love the pulled pork and pulled chicken. The Mac and cheese is great, love the tacos, love the sauces. Just had some for a family reunion and everyone loved it!
Awesome work! This place is a hidden gem but don’t let that deceive you! The food is hands down the best BBQ I’ve had in South Carolina! Keep up the great work!!!

Ordered 2 plates for Thanksgiving. Everything was awesome. My husband loved it as well. I'm not a cornbread stuffing girl, but this was a mixture of regular bread and cornbread. It was done perfectly. The Mac and cheese it exactly how I prefer it. We will be back to try regular menu items.
AMAZING!! True southern bbq and all the fixings! The owner is such a sweet guy and makes you feel like you are back in grandma’s kitchen. Cannot recommend this place more! Will definitely be back soon!
Just went to Cox's BBQ today... Brother, it was good! I got the BBQ Macaroni & Cheese, and the Rib Plate with Potato Salad and Banana Pudding. Both meals were great (Yes, I ate both). The BBQ and Ribs were both tender, hot, and full of flavor. You get your choice of barbecue sauce with each meat plate. Or, you can keep it 'dry' with no sauce. The facilities are 'understated' to say the least. But don't worry, there's BBQ magic going on inside!
Great family owned barbecue restaurant. Currently doing takeout only, although there are benches outside to eat on. I had the Pork Plate, which comes with two sides and a roll. I had the green beans and mac 'n cheese for my sides. The pork was juicy and tender, perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the sides, especially the mac 'n cheese. They offer three types of BBQ sauce (tomato, mustard, and vinegar based). Definitely recommend!
This is hands down the best bbq in the area. Great food made by great people! If you are looking for lunch, dinner or a catered event. LOOK. NO. FURTHER! I had this bbq for the first time at an event at the Ice House Amphitheater and never looked back.
Surprisingly good pork barbecue at a practically hidden location. The potato salad was excellent, too. We will try the banana pudding and the taco next time!
