We have been going to Wild Wings for over 20 years and always look forward to it. We went tonight and it was horrible. The wings were very overcooked tiny misshapen pieces of chicken. The basket of fries were barely enough for one person cold and floppy and the burger was soggy. I told the manager and she told me to send a letter to corporate. The waitress took our order and did not come back. Had to ask the manager for our check. This place used to be the best restaurant on the island. I am so disappointed.
Ordered curbside pickup tonight. Instructions on the email say to go to designated parking and someone will bring out your order. When we arrived the signage was unclear and no one came out. I entered and was surprised at how quiet it was for a Friday night. In years past would be packed inside and on the patio. And we went prime dinner time. There was no one at the station when I went in and finally a waitress appeared. I said to her it was confusing what to do with the curbside and she told me "we don't really take them out to the car".On getting home our order was nowhere near what we asked for. Our Buff Chips were just chips, no blue cheese or ranch. And we asked for all flats in our order but got a mix. Only got 3 blue cheese when the website clearly states we'd get five. No celery either. The wings themselves were kind of cold, suggesting they were sitting there for a quite a while before we arrived and we arrived when we were told to as per the website.Disappointed to see that this is a frequent occurrence. The wings overall tasted ok but again disappointing to get home and find out your order is missing quite a few things. This place used to be a go-to on the island and seems not to have survived the times.
In prior summer vacations, it used to be our go-to place after a long day at the beach. We got there at 8 pm on June 22 (website says open till 2 AM) and sat at the surprisingly mostly empty bar. After ordering a drink told the bartender we want to carry out wings and side salads & she said it shouldn’t take too long. So we placed our order so we could get back bike back to our condo before it got dark. We finished our beers after 15 minutes and the bartender said our food should be out in a second. Well, after waiting another half hour and sitting there watching staff complain to each other it got dark out and our food still wasn’t ready. It didn’t make sense because the place was not busy and we saw no food coming out of the kitchen. The bartender went back and said the cook was distracted (but not busy obviously) but she put together our order and brought it out to us finally after about an hour of being there mostly waiting. Also, 4 or 5 groups of people came to the hostess stand during the last half hour while we waited and were turned away saying there’s no more food tonight. We had to ride our bikes home in the dark (a little scary and dangerous) and found our $5.99 salad to be very small with only a few pieces of lettuce, and the wings were too chewy. We ended up throwing most of them away because they just didn’t taste right. Wild wings is permanently off our list of places to go in HH.
CONTRACTORS BEWARE!!! They will sign statements and invoices but never pay…they will disappear when it’s time to collect the invoices. Dine and dash is illegal but the managers of Wild Wings Cafe think it’s ok to do the same to locally owned small businesses… shame on you Wild Wings Cafe…btw, the CEO, CFO, local and regional managers are all very aware of this practice in their stores…
Arrived at 3:40 (around that time) , I wanted a takeout so I waited inside the door to be served, I waited 15 minutes before being served, and it that time I counted atleast 2 young female waiters look at me and refuse to serve me, they would go into the back and talk while doing nothing and refusing to serve me, this was at a time were there was only two tables occupied in the entire restaurant, eventually I walked up to the bar area were a women who had just arrived and hadn’t even clocked in was able to serve me, she was blonde (can’t remember name) and was nice and friendly, the only worker who seem to know how to do there job. But it doesn’t end there, i paid 30$ for 2 salads (before tax). I had previously went to this place and had the salad before so I knew what I was getting, or atleast that’s what I thought, my 2 salads were in much smaller containers then before, and only came with 1 honey mustard dip each while last time I was given 2 per salad. They must have saw me (a young person that wasn’t from America) and thought I wouldn’t complain but they thought wrong. the most annoying part of this experience was that the food was really good apart from the fact that they didn’t have fries and despite having to wait so long and being scammed with the change in size. I do not recommend coming to wild thing restaurant and I would expect a response from this restaurant as I don’t think it’s fair that I have paid good money to be served a smaller portion then previously. The picture of the salad is the first order from before (a few days prior to today order), the empty smaller container is the one of the two I ordered today, you can clearly see the size difference
Placed my order online before 8:30PM. Arrived to pick up order at 8:55PM. They didn't have an item available. I had to request a substitution. The chicken part of my sandwich was overcooked. They forgot my drink, so I had to request that as well.
The best wings Friendly servers…
Me and my family attempted to eat here twice in one week with no luck! The first night it was 9:30 my family and 2 others waited at the door for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement at all. All 3 of us decided to just leave. The next day we showed up early(6:30) hoping for a different outcome. To our disappointment the exact same thing happened. I'm not sure what's happening at this establishment but that's BAD business. It takes all of 30 seconds to walk over and say "someone will be with you shortly" or simply seat us and we wait until someone is ready to take out order. There's no one even at the door. This place needs to close if they don't know how to treat customers. WE are the reason you made it thru the pandemic, many businesses didn't make it, be more grateful and show customers some better customer service.
My husband and I were on our anniversary trip and so excited to try. Couldn’t even get service, literally had to walk out. They weren’t even crowded! Do yourself a favor and go right down the road to the sandbar, great service and great food!
Rude beyond belief and food was so disgusting we threw out.
