Amazing iced coffees. We shared the blackened shrimp hash and the crab eggs Benedict. Every bite tasted amazing. Perfect combination of veggies, Hollandaise sauce, egg, and bread/hash brown. The peppers were so fresh and sweet. The shrimp was blackened to perfection. Thanks, Sarah for a wonderful experience.

The food was reasonably priced. There were a few unusual things that happened with our meal. Drinks were not refilled, the servers were talking loud enough behind the counter that they distracted several patrons. The staff seemed to get along well, but maybe too well as several tables were waiting for service, including ours. The biscuits and sausage gravy was very good. The sandwiches were great. The Italian was probably our favorite. The menu promised “kettle chips” but we were served marcelled. The atmosphere was pleasant. Whoever owns it takes great pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere with attractive decor.

We stopped here for breakfast before heading to the beach. It's a cute Cafe with comfortable seating and a nice outdoor seating area. We placed our order and received our food in a timely manner. I ordered a make your own omelet with just the veggie options and an English muffin. My omelet was more like an egg taco with the egg folded over all the veggies with no cheese in sight. All the veggies were cold and the egg was over cooked. An omelet should be light and fluffy with eggs that are bright yellow never browned with the ingredients mixed in. My niece ordered the smoked salmon with hollandaise on an English muffin. The muffin wasn't toasted and there was no hollandaise sauce. Not a drop. It was also missing capers. The manager came out and spoke to our table and addressed our concerns by telling me I should of ordered a Scramble and not a Fold? What? I ordered an OMELET and saw no description of folding . She was not very empathetic to our situation even to know she could see I didn't eat my egg taco. She did compensate us a few dollars but a more apologetic tone would of sufficed. We chose this establishment based on the star ratings on Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor. Don't let then fool you, if your a "foodie" like me, skip this place.

This place is highly rated and highly recommended. I don't want to take that away from them. However, our experience was not a good one. The food was good, not great. Nothing we plan to have again on our trip. What was most frustrating was the lack of speed of service. From the time of our order (which took 10 minutes to get once we were seated) to when we received our food it was over thirty minutes. No apology or explanation. Simply the food was coming over and over. We had a party of 4 with a very basic order. We sat outside in which they had one server for all the tables. That may have been the problem. We continued to receive delays with drink refills, our bill and even asking for condiments. I feel for the waitress but the fact these long delays weren't being recognized by the on-site manager was an issue for us.

The gluten-free options for my wife, we’re definitely appreciated. Including gluten-free bread and English muffin. The Italian sandwich non-gluten-free, was very good, maybe a bit pricey. The Asian salad, was excellent, smoothies very good also. Fast service, convenient parking.

My husband & I stopped into this breakfast/lunch spot this morning while looking for a place to eat near Coligny Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience due to the friendly staff & perfectly cooked poached eggs. The cafe is bright, airy & not overly crowded since seating is offered outdoors as well as at a bar where I could watch staff make a perfect latte. Highly recommend adding this spot to one’s go-to restaurant on Hilton Head Island.

We found Watusi during a prior visit and enjoyed our one lunch there. We decided to try breakfast --- and once again, the staff delivered - food and service. Breakfast was hot, appropriately sized and very tasty. Coffee was rich and the cup stayed filled as did our water glasses. The small outdoor patio was about perfect - airy, bright with shade and fresh with none of the nose you have when eating inside anywhere. And we returned two days later for a late lunch that was equally well prepared and served. Both breakfast and lunch were reasonably priced. Great value and We will return.

I could easily sum up this review in just a few words (great food, fast service) but where's the fun in that?!? We were promptly seated upon arrival. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor otherwise there would have been a really short wait. Our server came by promptly to take our drink and food order. The only thing I found slightly disappointing was the lack of flexibility for vegetarians. There was no option to be able to sub meat for another side like fruit. They do have some dishes that are specifically labeled vegetarian and even vegan, but it is more limiting. Our food arrived quickly and everything tasted delicious.Solid service and food....seems like they pretty much have it down to a science!Pro-tip: The website has an option where you can check how long the wait is and join the wait-list.

Good surprise walk in local restaurant. They have a good menu to cater to a variety of people with some amazing drinks. Egg Benedict, Mediterranean Hash, Veggie Sandwich, Soup, were so good to call out. Service was excellent. One of the child did not like her smoothie and the server gladly replaced it with a different one. Kids want to go again for a second meal ?

We visited Watusi for breakfast three days and all three days were pleasant experiences. The wait time was reasonable for the amount of people that were there . Staff was friendly and the place was immaculate. Beautiful outdoor setting with great ambiance. The breakfast plates were good with the exception of the pancakes, they lacked flavor and were very dense . But , that’s just my opinion it’s not a deal breaker.
