My daughter has allergies to eggs, nuts, and seeds, so it's quite difficult for her to find options for ice cream. She was so excited at the MANY options that were available to her at the Ice Cream Cone. The staff was tremendously helpful and careful on allergens, and very patient with us. As another reviewer mentioned, they open up a new tub and use a new scoop to ensure zero cross-contamination. It's a big deal when my 5-year old gets to forget about her allergies when we go out and just enjoy herself. I'm so grateful for that experience. On top of that, the ice cream was very good quality.
Visited yesterday after reading reviews that mentioned this shop handles allergies well, and I completely agree! My toddler has some allergies, and the employee getting our ice cream was extremely accommodating to our situation and gave me a book listing the ingredients in every flavor to review. Then she happily got a clean scoop and opened a brand new tub of ice cream for him. My son loved the “Blue Monster” flavor and we fully enjoyed ours as well, there are a ton of flavors to choose from! I highly recommend this ice cream shop when visiting HHI, especially in Coligny Plaza…without naming any names, let’s just say the other ice cream shop in the plaza gave an “all we can do is wash a scoop off” response when asked about handling allergies, which is honestly the least accommodating response I’ve received anywhere. I’m sure we’ll be back to The Ice Cream Cone again this week! Thank you for your care and consideration of people with allergies!

Our group of 16 visited The Ice Cream Cone 3 times during our week on Hilton Head Island. Not only do they have an amazing selection of flavors, but they are so efficient in scooping... we were in and out lickety split! The owner even offered the kids free t-shirts. Great customer service! If you're at the beach at Coligny Circle, make the walk across the street to the Ice Cream Cone - it's well worth it!
Went back in September and loved it, as an owner of a small ice cream shop this was probably one of the biggest selections I have personally seen. Ended up getting ice cream there 5 out of the 8 nights we stayed
What a great ice cream shop! Incredibly courteous and polite staff! Their selections, let's say...superb with plenty to choose from. The location is super convenient and is extremely clean. Kudos to the staff and recommending the smores waffle cone! We will definitely return again and again and again! If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would.
This was the 3rd ice cream shop we stopped at and the first to greet us with a smile. So many flavors to choose from and everything we had was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Such friendly service despite there only being one employee and it was busy! It makes such a difference when instead of getting stressed or cranky they keep a great attitude so we really appreciated that! Ice cream was amazing - try the Oatmeal Cookie Craving!
Great selection of good ice cream. Had the ice cream sandwich and a single scoop in a cone and both were good. Normal pricing for the island.
It was so good we came two days in a row! Amazing selection of flavors. The brownie sundae has a warm brownie and is so good. Favorite flavors are Oatmeal Cookie Craving and Brown Butter Bourbon so far. EXCELLENT customer service! We will be back!
