Terrible front staff customer service. Every year they don’t ever great us. They lead with the insane wait times. Also they should try to stick to what you estimated. Maybe management needs to look into this? Highly overrated.
Sunday 7:30 two of us sat at the porch bar, lucky for us there were plenty of stools & tables. Unlucky for us was the skinny bartender that wouldn't wipe off the very wet & filthy bar, after asking TWICE she tossed us a rag so that we could wipe our own area ? Minutes later, two guys sat next to us and were assigned the same bartender; she, again, made the conscious decision to not take a cloth to their filthy area. Horrible bartender, horrible management!! We left, after our single drink, leaving no tip for a lack of service. Spent the evening & lots of money at Frankie Bones in Main Street. Frankie Bones is always top notch, and always a clean bar.
When you make reservations YOU need to specify where, inside or out, by the window or a booth inside. They will TRY to accommodate. Was great food. No one at our table had fried food. Salmon was good and my husband LOVED the shrimps and grits. Crab legs were sweet. Their hush puppies were carni good! Better than "Skull".
We try to have either a lunch or a dinner at the Crazy Crab every time we visit Hilton Head. The Jarvis Creek location is the best overlooking Broad Creek. The hush puppies are the best on the island and the seafood variety has something for everyone.
It’s been a while since we’ve been down to HH for a vacation. We went to one of our favorite spots and had an excellent experience and Judy guaranteed us a good time. if you go to crazy crab, request Judy!!
My husband and I had been vacationing in Hilton Head for a week, the Crazy Crab was the last place we ate at and we were blown away!! The food was fresh, hot and so delicious!! If we could give it more stars we definitely would!! We got the steamed shrimp appetizer, and shared the fried and boiled platters. Everything was AMAZING! We will most definitely be returning!!
Knowing that Hilton Head is in full summer season we decided to have a late lunch about 2 PM. We asked for a water side on the porch and were seated immediately. We had an experienced waitress, Theresa, and she was training a new young lady. Since we had been here before we placed our drink order and our lunch order at the same time. Then we talked a while with the servers. They had just stepped away when the server arrived with our meals. The beverages hadnt even arrived. Everything was right and delicious. We had picked the right time and enjoyed a leisurely relaxing meal.
We were delighted by the food and atmosphere! However, the highlight of our evening was the superb service by our server, Theresa.. The restaurant was busy but she made us feel like her only customers. We had a group of two tables with kids at one of them. I have seldom had such a wonderful server.
We visited here for Fathers Day 6/19/2022 and had the worst meal we've had in a long time. We ordered the special for the night which was the surf and turf. Our steaks were ordered medium rare, and came out cold and well done. I am certain the steak didnt have any seasoning on it, not even salt. The vegetables weren't cooked hardly at all, crunchy, and also cold. The rice was clearly a Ben's microwaved rice pouch although the menu description makes it sound like gourmet rice. These meals were $39.99 a piece. We were honestly shocked at how bottom of the barrel this meal was, especially since we had visited to the other crazy crab location and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was so disappointing because this location (Harbor Town) was closest to our condo and we were expecting the same great experience. The server was attentive, but when we told her how disappointing the surf and turf was, she immediately got cold and said she would return with the manger. Jason was the managers name, and after we told him how dissatisfied we were with our meal, he cut us off and said he would make sure to let the cooks know it wasn't a good meal. Never once offered a discount, free desert, gift card, nothing. We paid $130 bill (not including the tip) for a meal that was absolutely terrible. Embarrassing actually. When you come on vacation, a top highlight is the food. We enjoy eating out at the "top rated restaurants" in HHI, and nothing made us feel more sick than spending our hard earned vacation money on a meal that wasn't worth $10. What is worse is a cocky manager who could care less what we thought. We won't be back and we will be sure to refer other tourists to the other location
A food factory. Maybe ok if you have kids but the food quality is no better than red lobster. The portions are very small with the seafood covered with French fries to make them look large. To increase table turn they use waiters to take your order and expeditors to deliver it. You never see the waiter again until he brings the bill. Go to Hudson’s.
