It's ok. Not sure why there's a line out the door. The coffee and chai was average to above average, nothing special. The quiches were made on pie crust. Not bad overall. Cute little place though.
It makes me sad to leave a bad review for this place as I love coffee shops and know first hand how much work and effort goes into them, but this is the second year I’ve been to this shop. I’ve now been in 4 times and I am honestly consistently disappointed. The coffee here is over priced and just not good. It lacks flavor and the espresso doesn’t shine through the milk. I’ve tried multiple hot coffees, and iced coffees. Im convinced the only reason this place is always packed is because it’s on the way to the beach and one of the 2 only shops in this particular area. The baked goods are decent but outrageous in price as well. I do however appreciate how they have milk alternatives and a wide variety of options on the menu as well as a convenient location.
Lovely, quaint place. Does not have indoor seating, but a lovely patio. Very busy when I came so be prepared to wait. My mocha was fine. Looks like they have tasty treats though to try. Would still go back, only open until 1:30 I believe.
Long line. But got in rather quickly. Had coconut mocha. Friends had a sandwich and croissant. Both were good.
The Coffee Shop Near Me is a cute place with delicious coffee. We ordered a regular coffee which was piping hot with a smooth taste, a latte that my husband raved about, and a delectable chocolate croissant. The best part of this place? The service was prompt and beyond pleasant with just a short wait.
Great coffee and baked goods. If you are in a hurry, try someplace else. They only allow one customer or small group in at a time. It was very slow.
We were so happy to find this place and must recommend the almond croissant as well as the chocolate almond croissant. Not only was the food fabulous but the staff were really nice. And I was also able to purchase a decent pair of sunglasses which were much needed. We liked the croissants so much that we came back and bought all of them that they had.
This is a wonderful little place whoever could write a bad review about this place it’s just plain evil how can you complain about hard-working people in the smallest of smallest businesses during a pandemic store chooses to stay open to give a nice hot cup of coffee or a danish or burnt cheesecake which is wonderful I commend the workers and the owners great job
While I am disinclined to write reviews, The Coffee Shop Near Me distinguished itself this morning as a uniquely degenerate and shameful business on three fronts: (1) coffee, (2) soy latte, and (3) cost. (1) I want to establish a baseline for the coffee review: Starbuck’s Pike. Pike’s isn’t universally loved, but provides common reference point. I ordered ‘the darkest coffee you have” at The Coffee Shop near me and received a moderately warm cup of translucent brown coffee that made a cup of Pike’s look like Dunkin’s Midnight brew with an expresso shot in it. If you are a coffee shop, your coffee needs to be better than generic restaurant coffee and The Coffee Shop Near Me fell well below this bar-is-on-the-floor, just-step-over-it standard. (2) Hitting rock bottom with their coffee, The Coffee Shop Near Me began its mining operation. The latte was simply three quarters of a cup of room temperature soymilk and something else with a few lonely bubbles casting about on the surface. To make matters worse, the one party at a time policy (which I understand and endorse) prevented us from returning to ask for a refund or a proper soy latte. We might have charged back in and inconvenienced the others who have been waiting in line, but why make them suffer the sins of the establishment? Perhaps we should have shown the latte to the folks in line. (3) skimpflation. I get it. We are in a service economy and raising prices are reflected in deteriorating quality of service just like I find fewer chips in a bag that was once amply filled. Twelve dollars we paid for a cup of “coffee” and soy “latte” and a chunk of “monkey bread”. I did not taste the monkey bread so I won’t comment on it, but it could not have been so good that it justified rocketing the price of this purchase to $12. There simply not enough of it to warrant that kind of cost. Once more, I am not the type of person to write a review and I often read them believing people have expected too much from a restaurant (good grief it is all deep fried junk from a Sysco system factory, eat at home if you want real food), but this was a singularly repugnant experience.
Good local shop wish they had a little more in house made treats
