If you are looking for somewhere good to eat for dinner, I highly recommend Skillets Cafe & Grill in Hilton Head. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Chelsea was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks full. The fried sampler with the fried green beans were so good and so was the pimento cheese dip.I love the fact that they play Christian music in the restaurant and we were able to make reservations. The salad bar was so good, I love that they had spinach mix, don’t see that often. The only thing I think they need on salad bar is croutons, sunflower seeds, and crackers. They also have Pepsi products, which I don’t see often. I was glad to see that. Will definitely go again.

Really good food & friendly staff. We enjoyed the Crabcake sandwich, fish & chips, and turkey club.

Got excellent stuffed flounder here. I was part of a large family with six children. We tried to eat at Hudson's, but facing a two hour wait, we called Skillets. They took us and seated us immediately. Service was excellent. Food was great!

TripAdvisor reviews looked favorable so our family of four headed out for breakfast. We sat outside with our puppy and service was slow, but acceptable. The kids had pancakes and a Belgium waffle, the wife the eggs Benedict and me the brisket skillet with poached eggs. The pancakes and waffle met the kids basic needs. Nothing fancy! The brisket skillet however was pathetic and tasteless. The meat was burned and excessively salty, the potatoes microscopic and were not seasoned. I got a piece of rye toast served dry and was never offered butter or jam. The eggs Benedict was covered with hollandaise sauce right out of a can and was old and foul smelling. My wife and I left our plates and said enough. The only Pro here was they served the puppy a bowl of iced water! The entire time we sat outside hoping to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. However, groundskeepers were blowing the parking lot and sidewalks with gas blowers kicking up dirt and dust and the delightful smell of gasoline! We tipped, we left. An hour later my wife and I both had terrible stomach pains and diarrhea. Not at all what we had hoped for during our vacation! We do NOT recommend this place and wish that we had chosen someplace else to spend our money.

I typically do not write reviews, but I felt I needed to share my experience and save other’s from over paying for Mediocre food and service. We arrived about 9am on a weekday. It was pretty slow during this time. I ordered the California Benedict. It was presented and plated beautifully, unfortunately it went downhill from there. The eggs had shells in them. Not just one but multiple. The avocado was very hard, not ripe at all. And the tomato was past it’s prime. They were very mushy and had that odd texture of when they are overly ripened and about to go bad. And the bowl of fruit it came with was fine tasting, but the blueberries were wrinkled and the strawberries were mushy. I asked my server for a new avocado since it was hard. He brought me back a few pieces of a small avocado. And it was not fully ripened either. But it was better than the first. When were were to pay the bill I asked if I could talk to the manager about quality control in the kitchen. When I showed her my avocado, tomato and shells she just looked at me like I had three heads and just apologized. And walked away. We waited there for a WHILE before our server came back and was confused why we were still there. He asked if his manager had taken care of us and we said no, she just left. He came back with the bill and took off 10% for all of that . We were very disappointed with our experience and we never return.

The first time we went to Skillets was for breakfast and it was really good. The second time we went was for dinner and we really enjoyed it. Our waiter, Mike, he was great, recommended the jumbalaya which my husband said was one of the best he’s had. My daughter and I had the all you can eat salad bar because we wanted to save room for pie. My daughter had the peanut butter pie she said was soooo good, my husband had the bourbon pecan pie and he said it was really good. I couldn’t decide so I ordered the lemon berry mascarpone cake to eat there and it was amazing, and took key lime pie, pecan and peanut butter to go. We wish we would have tried the desserts sooner in our trip. I highly recommend the lemon berry mascarpone cake, the host said it was his favorite and I can see why. I’m craving it now and have already looked up how to make it. Skillets is a great place to eat but definitely save room for dessert or take it to go you won’t be disappointed.

We like to bike here from our condo for a good breakfast in the morning. Many places to shop near by as well. The skillets and French toast are really good. Service a little slow but they have a sign that lets you know they are short staffed. This hasn’t been or first time nor our last.

I NEVER write reviews, but we found a staple in my water. The staff was not very helpful in righting this situation. We waited a long time to be seated and requested to be sat outside, and were not, even though there were others outside. My son also has a kids burger and we had to ask several times for his side. Very disappointed.

This restaurant is not open for dinner and due to staffing shortage, closes even earlier on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Food is good, service is very good, and prices are reasonable.

Short staffed but you won't mind because the food is amazing! I had the crab cake Benedict it was the best crab cake I've ever tasted! We spoke to the owners father who is 88 years old and was hustling back and forth seating customers bringing out coffee and just a real gem. They have the best coffee too. Very worth the wait and experience. Oh very good bloody Mary's too?
