Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very attentive. Food was fantastic.
Very good dinner for a party of five. Redfish - excellent; prime rib - excellent! Wonderful service. We were seated in the bar area so it was a little noisy, but we could still have conversation, which is important to me.
This was a chance dining experience. We were going to go to Old Oyster Factory but they were reservation only that night. So, I did a quick search on Open Table to see who might have a reservation and Hogshead popped up. Everything was fantastic. The food, drinks, and desserts were all amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Food was not only outstanding but the presentations were amazing! Staff was very friendly and was lucky enough to meet the chef/owner. He is beyond talented! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was great but we waited & waited & waitedâ¦.to get greeted, for our drinks, to give our order, to get our foodâ¦for everything.
As with many restaurants, staffing issues prevailed. I know this restaurant, with adequate staff is a reliable & solid choice. Unfortunately, there is no way for patrons to know that before you're sitting at a reservation you booked well in advance. So dining out has become a roll of the dice - not always a great experience but unfair to hold the staff or chef accountable. They are no doubt doing their best in a undesirable situation. I've had a "wonderful experience" and a "just Ok" experience here within a month so I know it's not for lack of trying or skill but logistics. Not sure what the solution is. I may be inclined to start asking "how is the staff is doing today?" before I make my selection at any establishment - not just here but anywhere - from now on.
Food was amazing. We started with the Gorgonzola Chips and Brushetta. I had the redfish special but others had ribs and the pork tenderloin. Homemade Key Lime and pecan pie were both amazing. Although no one ordered it, the burger looked tempting and Iâll be back to try it. This is a hidden gem!
