Absolutely love this place. Can't get over how good the Shrimp & Grits were, and no tails. So many places make this but leave the tails on. My husband had a shrimp wrap that was out of this world. It was so good, I will go back here now matter where I am in the area. Service spot on, and we loved the view.
We placed a to-go order at 5pm on a Thursday night. Let me say, if you’re going to eat here, I would get it to go. The wait time for those dining in was 2 1/2 hours. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare there. Everybody thinks they can get into the tiny parking lot next to the restaurant which they can’t. Then they have to get turned around and go to the overflow lot. So it’s a massive traffic jam in the parking area and also with a steady flow of people walking to the restaurant. If you come here, just park in the overflow lot right off the bat. Once you get passed the parking and the wait time though… The food was really good. We definitely enjoyed everything that we ordered. It was just an ordeal to get it.
We always enjoy our visits and meals to Hudson's. On this visit, our server Alex offered to check and see if our favorite fish, wreck fish, was available. We were very happy to take the last few pieces off their hands! It was perfectly prepared, as were the oysters on the half shell. Our frozen drinks hit the spot on a very hot day. Dessert (peanut butter pie) was taken home and enjoyed the next day.
We have enjoyed Skull Creek several times but not gone t Hudson’s. We really enjoyed our lunch and will return! Our server, Isabella, was outstanding and very helpful. They had a full house but our party of 7 had a table they set aside for longer groups. The setting next to a pier and a shrimp boat was nice. The oyster Hudson was a good combo of oysters broiled with bacon was very good. The fried shrimp and raw oysters were excellent and very fresh! The scallops were cooked to perfection. I found the She Crab soup good but not great. Our Crab Cake eaters thought they were exceptional. We will be back!
This place was recommended by a local. Their food was decent but we waited over an hour for our table. Service was good once we got seated.
First time visitor. I've heard good things about Hudson's. So, I was happy to give it a try. I brought my husband, and we were both pleased.We are inside. There was a good view from most seats in the front room. Started with a drink. I had the blood orange margarita, and my husband had The HH islander I think.it was a frozen drink with strawberry. Yummy.I have never had a low country boil. So, I tried that. It was very good. My husband had the fried flounder sandwich. It was big and tasty. So, food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were are perfect.
The seafood at Hudson’s is always fresh and expertly prepared. We’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. Servers are knowledgeable about the food and drink offerings and can answer any questions about the menu. I had the Chef’s Special Tacos with fresh mahi — delicious from the first bite to the last. If you like shrimp please order it here, it’s amazing.
The fried green tomatoes are outstanding . Everything here was good . Everything . We stopped in and didn’t order entrees, just picked at different appetizers and desserts. Had a few drinks . The oyster shot was good too .
Dock bar food on the dock. Get there after 430 for inside dinner food. The food was good but not what I was expecting
