Rode our bikes from our resort over for dinner. Like other reviews mentioned, very little inside seating. However there are probably six to eight tables outside in the shade. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening. We got salad, a sandwich and pizza. Both the salad and pizza were excellent. Very good, flavorful hand tossed dough. We will be back in the future. Would be a great option for take out and going back to where you are staying.
Solid pizza and calzone as part of our order. It's definitely preferable to order to go ... we ate in and it feels more setup to handle to-go orders.Do recommend trying the garlic knots.
What a disappointing experience! I was looking forward to some pizza with my family. I ordered a simple pepperoni. When it arrived and I took a few bits, I noticed immediately that the tomato sauce was very acidic. But I was so hungry, I proceeded to finish the slice. When I started eating the second, my taste buds really kicked in and I had to put a halt to finishing the slice. At that moment I stopped eating and asked my family members who had ordered 3 other pizzas their opinion and it was unanimous. The acidity of the sauce abruptly ended our meal (and the one we were going to have the next day with our leftovers). When we hunger for pizza next time, we will look elsewhere.
Doughboys pizza is a hidden gem on the Hilton Head Island. Their pizza tastes authentic. Everything is scratch made and you can tell the difference. The atmosphere is charming and the staff are very helpful. “They work their butts off.“ One of the pizza chefs told me. Their hard work definitely pays off. You do not want to leave Hilton head Island without trying one of their pizzas. My favorite was the meat lovers or the steak pizza. However, they have plenty of options. Their pizza is not cheap, but it is worth every penny.
It's just a small, hole in the wall place that turns out respectable pizza. The crust was a bit thin for me but that's a personal choice. Toppings were adequate but finely chopped and I like them big and chunky. Very limited seating but we did take-out. We had the large Big Elvis ($24) and the large Kim's Veggie ($21). Not the best we ever had but not the worst, either. Respectable in all ways but nothing outstanding. I want to give them 4 stars but the thin crust and finely chopped toppings bumped them down to 3 IMO. Located in a small strip mall with free parking.
Absolutely phenomenal. We ordered 2 pizzas, 2 calzones and a Dough Boys Bomb Sub. All were perfect. The sub was the best cheese steak ever. The guy on the phone and the delivery guy were both extremely nice and polite. Definitely go here.
This place has amazing pizza! Highly recommend, they have great customer Service as well.
Were here several years ago and still is great pizza and salad. Small salad is large, plenty to share for two. Finely chopped which is what we like. Had thin crust pizza which IS really thin, kinda crispy but toppings to the edge, just how we like it! Toppings aren't overdone which is perfect. Limited indoor dining. Glad we returned.
Decided to visit HHI before the crowds with the idea that I could try many restaurants without the wait. Wow. The very best pizza I've had. Had been going to NYC Pizza but gotta say- this is my new go to pizza! I tend to like a "thinner" dough that is a little chewy yet has a good crispy crunchy crust. I didn't realize they had a thin crust but I'd say their regular crust is just about perfect for my taste. I'll have to try the thin next time.
This is our second trip to HHI and we had a Dough Boys pizza both times. Awesome and delicious, cooked to perfection. A real gem for this area. We ordered the Ollie’s all the way’ to go. An amazing pizza!
