Been to Charbar before and love their burgers and their wings. Never had their sushi until this trip so I ordered a Spicy Charley Tuna roll to split with my daughter and son as an appetizer. It was so good that I could have eaten three of them myself as my meal! We all ordered burgers and some wings and weren't disappointed. My wife had the Breakfast Burger and loved it. My daughter and I had the Champ Burger and liked it but I think the bacon marmalade, while good, tends to be a bit sweet for my taste (I like the burger to be front and center with everything else being supporting cast members). My son was the smart one and created his own and he was completely happy with it. We shared sweet potato tots and rosemary fries and both were delicious. We'll be back again and will definitely consume more of their delicious sushi next time
Started our dinner with barbecue chachos which were delicious! Had to try some sushi too - Pineapple Under the sea and Over the a rainbow were our selections. Both were well made, fresh and tasty! Burgers were the bomb! Wine jam wagyu burger was amazing and the kids enjoyed their char bar and breakfast burgers. We split burgers and they came already split on two plates with fries also which I always appreciate being done in the kitchen. We had delicious cocktails also but were too full to have dessert! We were seated immediately at outdoor patio which was comfortable. Service was great!
Love this place. Imagine a vegetarian opting for CharBar. Well, they have the BST veggie burger on the planet! And they were the first to introduce their wonderful beet salad. The outdoor dining is special in the summer months. Love this place!
This place was so so good! I had a the pineapple sushi bowl and it was the freshest and yummiest tuna I’ve ever had! My husband got a burger and sweet potato tots and they were so yummy! Might go back a second time before we leave to head home!
First time here...been wanting to try the last two times we've been on HHI. Definitely make reservations...we were seated immediately. Ordered wing sampler and sushi (The Lox and Spicy Charley Tuna). Wings were nicely done and the sauces were very good. Sushi was a little easy to fall apart but so good. The Lox was the best! Two of our party ordered the salmon bowl. Both said it was very good and fresh. The other three in our party had the breakfast burger, double cheeseburger and the Black and Bleu Burger. The taste was perfect...hickory smoke, good beef and medium well was perfect. The onion rings were ok (not as crunchy as should be), thee tater tots were good but the rosemary truffle fries were the favorite of everyone. I'll think about those fries long after we leave HHI. Service was good but not overly friendly. It was very busy at 730pm. Our waters were kept full and when we ordered beer, it was on the table quickly so I cannot complain. Overall, this was one of our favorite places in HHI in all the years we have been visiting the island.
The burgers are fantastic and the Pineapple sushi bowl was a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly, prompt and attentive.
Great restaurant with an interesting, but cool combination of dishes. I tried a burger that was cooked great and a sushi platter that was also well presented. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cool atmosphere with great food.
Best burgers on the island. Great burger selection to choose from. Very fun atmosphere for the family. Outdoor seating area and outdoor bar, as well as, a sushi bar in the back. Staff is efficient and quick.
Over the years we have ate here a few times and have tried several of the burgers. The burgers have all been amazing, my personal favorite is the breakfast burger!I also love the sweet potato tots and the truffle fries.Only complaint we have every had is, on our most recent visit (June 2022), those in our group that ordered the onion rings, all felt they were on the cold side.Despite this one incident, I would still give Charbar a five star rating and highly recommended it if you are looking for a great burger with fries.
What an interesting combination ... burgers and sushi. But which to try? How about both? So we started with a sushi appetizer. My family made a few selections and they were all great. Sorry, I did not take note of the names. Then on to the burgers. They had a few prepackaged options, but decided to build my own (basically a bacon cheeseburger). It was fantastic! Cooked to a medium rare as requested. And the sides were great too! For those that know me, I love tots (and so does my wife). But this place offered something new .... sweet potato tots. Although this is not my thing, it is for my wife and daughter ... and the loved them! Of course, we washed it all down with some great cold beverages. I went for a local beer which was quite refreshing! Let's not forget the service. It was really good. Our waiter was regularly at our table refilling drinks and checking in on us. The atmosphere was also nice. With plenty of outdoor seating. Even an outdoor bar! NOTE: Kudos to the management for listing on OpenTable. Securing a reservation on a busy resort island for a group can be a challenge otherwise.
