Good stuff: food is really good - including the ribs (I am really picky on ribs), price is standard for BBQ, staff was helpful, easy access location Bad Stuff: tight fit for indoor seating - especially if you have a stroller
Owner greeted us in the parking lot with a weed eater. Got out of my car and he literally headed in our direction with the business end going full blast for no reason. He could have waited or gone in another direction or at least said something. We laughed it off, no harm done but then we go in and order. Cashier was very nice. I go outside to make a call and stand at front door. Owner grabs a blower, starts it, and comes directly at me again with the thing going full blast, never acknowledging me standing there. Go inside to eat, only people in the restaurant were us, owner comes in and walks past us never making eye contact much less speaking. Note to owner- if you don’t want customers don’t unlock your door in the morning, much easier. Another thing- if you want to argue with your employees about shifts, do it behind closed doors. Food was fair. BBQ pork was flavorless- zero char or smoke flavor. Bun was just taken out of wrapper- not buttered, toasted, or anything. Beans were good, cornbread was good. Owner was a zero. Bottom line is they do not want, much less appreciate, the customer and the food is not good enough to overcome it.
Ordered food yo go, for my husband and I. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, Mac and cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. The portions were generous and the food was great! The Mac and cheese was just ok, wouldn't order it again. Definitely going to order a family meal, for when we have our kids!
We got the family meal and WOW! We are originally from Kansas City, so our barbecue expectations are pretty high. My 19 year old son, husband and myself can’t say enough good stuff about this place. BBQ Ribs ❤️—crunchy outside and nothing but goodness inside. The pulled chicken and pork was nice and moist. The brisket had amazing flavor. My favorite coleslaw I have ever had! The macaroni and cheese was the only “disappointment” it was ok, just not enough seasoning. The cornbread had a kick. Highly recommend! Bonus: they have Mr. Pibb!
This was the best BBQ I have ever had in Hilton Head the brisket was delicious. But the ribs… THEY WERE SO GOOD!!! These were the best ribs I have ever eaten in South Carolina!
Nice BBQ joint in Hilton Head. Pulled pork is excellent. A variety of different sauces. The place is small, primarily a take out place, just a few tables and chairs inside.
Great southern BBQ..at a affordable price.The ribs were excellent ( meat literally was falling off the bone ). Several sauce options to choose from.
Everything was fresh and a large variety. We tried the Brisket, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Sides were filling and flavorful
Husband and I stopped by for brisket after reading reviews and it was soooo good and moist. The best we have found locally now also kudos for their loaded potato salad. This will definitely be our number one place for bbq and brisket in Hilton Head.
I visit the island every 6 weeks or so and always eat at Bullies at least once while I'm in town. The pulled pork is amazing and so is the mac and cheese. The other sides are a little too spicy for me. The owners is a very nice man! Dine in, outside seating or to go. They also sell large quantities if you want to bring home to feed a crowd!
