Worst dinning experience we have ever had on the island. Was expecting great bbq and atmosphere for a upscale golf club. There were several items not available such as ribs, pizza do to some machine that was broken. So there was a limited menu. Also after we had ordered we were informed because of computer issues it would be cash only. The quality of the pulled pork which for some reason they could make was less than mediocre. Was very excited to want to go there for good ribs and a great dining experience but they failed to deliver.
We waited a while but boy was it worth it! Big Jim’s BBQ delivered again. Food and wait staff has always been top notch! Until next year! Thanks again
The food and wait staff were excellent!! We had a party of 10 and the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to move table so we could sit together!! Service was prompt and the pretzel bites for an appetizer were delicious!!
This was a good casual restaurant. We showed up late with the kids 8;30pm restaurant closes at 9pm. Service was still good and they did not rush us. This is inside of a golf course clubhouse fyi. All the food was good and portions were good as well. $125 with tip. That included 2 adult drinks and 2 Appetizers to start. Drinks an apps were close to $40. Note we are Family of 5.
Rooney was the best waiter ever! The wings were crispy and hot and the buffalo sauce was yummy! don’t even get me started about the The pizza with the Krispy Kross. Don’t sleep on big jims.
Great meal! Great spot! Alicia was a fantastic server!! She was definitely the nicest server we have ever had. We will definitely go back to Big Jim's.
Our waiter Kaymar was very attentive with all of our needs...party of 6. The Southern hamburger came with fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, bacon and lettuce. It was truly a delight for the taste buds.
We had a very nice dinner at Big Jim's. My son and I had bacon cheeseburgers, and my wife had a shrimp Po' Boy. The food was great. Our server, Devroy, provided outstanding service. And, the atmosphere is very nice, with a terrific view of the golf course.
Visited 4x this past weekend. Very basic restaurant - no frills really, but the food / drink are phenomenal. Must try: BBQ Chicken Pizza (we got it extra crispy, which was great)
Big Jim's is great for a casual meal. The scenery is beautiful, overlooking the 18th hole of the lovely golf course, with outdoor and indoor seating. It's a great dining option for those staying in Palmetto Dunes - very walkable - and is open to anyone as it is located before the gates. Recommend the patty melt, BLT, pizzas. Simple but good breakfast options, and they generally don't seem to be crowded for breakfast like many restaurants on the island. The only minor areas of opportunity: could use a more extensive/better draught beer selection, and like many restaurants currently, could use more wait staff and probably kitchen staff, so the service is a slow. But the servers are very friendly and accommodating.
