When the Escanaba, MI location initially opened, it was pretty good. Now? Today was the first time in 2021 that I actually picked some sushi up. It's either California rolls or sauced/covered in crispy. Today there was salmon Philly rolls. The rice felt like it was day-old sushi (I was at the store earlier for something else, and there was no sushi). Your sushi chef here is horrendous and has no place making sushi. The store he is located in has been notified by many patrons of this fact. If this isn't remedied, I will make it a point to avoid every Gusto establishment on my travels.
The way they created a sushi in different way with additional recipes of scallion and lime dose make their sushi in fragrance and delucious, and tase are outstanding,in vicinity of Colgate uiversity location.
The taste was somewhere between plastic and hand sanitizer. I'm wondering if they ended up using expired rice in this because it had both foul taste and aroma.
Haven't purchased sushi from the local one in Escanaba, MI in about 6 months, if not more. When everything is California or covered with sauces/tempura/etc, it's a guaranteed way for me to pass it up. Never used to be that way. At least Hissho still provides a little more variety.
I love this company. Furthermore, I love Working here. Chefs from SWG have been making lots of great sushi for the upstate area and many parts of the states. Place your order for party trays for your special celebrations and you will get the authentic sushi for you and your loved ones.

I needed to place a catering order only a few days in advance, for a Sunday! It was my nephew's birthday and the last day of a play he was in and he LOVES this sushi but it was a total mess of a timeline! They helped me get the right platters, made sure they were at our local location and on time with absolutely no hassle
