Service was great and the food was good, but I think I’m just more accustomed to Texas style BBQ. This place was packed though at 11:00 sharp, with everyone coming for the lunch buffet. I ordered off the menu and had pulled pork - the portions were enormous and the price was very reasonable.
This was my 1st time here and I have to say for a buffet style restaurant it was very good nothing amazing but very good food for the price. The Mac and cheese was the best thing on my plate. Fish and chicken were very good too with an awesome mustard bbq sauce I will be back for sure!!
I've been exploring local BBQ, and was a bit nervous when I walked in and found out it was a lunch buffet. However, my doubts were quickly put aside once I started eating. The ribs and pulled pork were very good. No sauce needed, kind of good... Collard greens and cole slaw were very good too...
Have not spent much time in Greer since childhood, we took a slight detour for a look see and were so pleasantly surprised by Mutt's on every level! It somehow reminded me of the old BBQ places of the 1960s - that exterior line on the front porch for take out did the trick! The "about of" tab in the Mutt's website nice explains ot all!South Carolinian's are sooo blessed with so many options on their state BBQ trail.Highly, very highly, recommended. And a a nice Senior Discount too!
Good food can come in small portions but, four tablespoons of potato salad for over three dollars is pushing it.When questioning the manager about the portion she told me "yep, that's what it is" and turned her back and walked away.
Food was good but the young girl that is working as the cashier very hateful. We waited in line and a family of about 10 was in front of us. Some of the party was sitting at tables on the porch as we went inside (obviously saving tables). There were 4 of us and my husband went and sat down as he can’t stand very long due to a back problem. The little girl told me I couldn’t save a table & was extremely rude. She forgot to give me our cups so I went back to ask for cups and she pretty much threw them at me. She doesn’t need to be working on the front lines with people. I doubt we will go back. So, whatever you do don’t sit down before you pay for your food! 👎🏽
Mutts is always a good eat. Also appreciate how clean the place is. Employees always cleaning the buffet area and customers wear gloves while getting food.
We took our family to eat here Saturday afternoon. They kept running out of everything on the buffet. There was a long line for the buffet and when you get up there, where would be nothing left. They would put out a new tray of food, and then fill containers for take out and then nothing would be left for the people in line. It was way to crowded. They need to limit the number of customers for eat in, you could not move at all to get out of your seat or to the buffet. If there is not enough food for the customers who have already paid, then don't take new orders for carryout. I asked the managers (a lady and man that seemed to be in charge) about the food and they were very rude. That was the $100 wasted and our family left unhappy .
Excellent food and staff!
My first time there to celebrate my father in law birthday and was very pleased at the buffet. The ribs fell off the bone and the coleslaw was as homemade and creamy as they come. The peach cobbler and ice cream made my day. We will definitely be back and have some pants on that have an elastic waistband!
