I love this location. The food is delicious and freshly made. Love their tofu homestyle.
Excellent Fusion Asian. We took a chance and it paid off; we loved it! Decent size, tastefully decorated, long bar, very clean. Decent waitstaff, timed our dishes as requested. We started with hot and sour soup that was exceptional. Smoky, perfect balance of heat and flavors. Generous with ingredients. Best hot & sour soup I’ve had anywhere, including NY. Very nice glass of plum wine. We then had the veggie tempura. Very generous with an excellent selection of veggies, one each of sweet potato slice, onion, zucchini, good sized mushroom, asparagus spear and a broccoli florets. All decent sizes, but it was a bit greasy. Our entrees were, for my husband, udon noodles with mixed veggies in a very light sauce. Very generous with an excellent mix of veggies and thick udon noodles. Decent amount. I had a chef’s special dish, dragon and Pheonix. That consisted of General Tao chicken and garlic shrimp. Again, very generous with the veggies, delightful sauces, great balance of heat and sweet, beautifully presented. A chef’s special comes with soup or salad, (I had soup) white rice or you can opt for $1 more, fried rice, that unlike most places that serve white rice with soy sauce for fried rice, this actually had veggies in it and was what it was supposed to be. Total cost $60 with tip. An excellent meal all around. We look forward to trying many other dishes out!
The restaurant has a nice calming feel to it and the food came out fast. The drinks were good and the food tasted great. It's a nice casual restaurant but it has the feel for an easy date night idea.
The service was great the staff was friendly. My wife's pad thai was pretty good not the best I've had but not the worst. My son got the stake hibachi and said it was really good. I got the pho and it was probably my least favorite I've had in the upstate. I will try this place out again but just try something different. They do clean the tables right away after a party leaves. The atmosphere is nice.
Poor Customer Service. We were out on a lunch date looking for something new to try. We were attracted to this place for the variety and location. Upon entering, "how many" was our greeting, followed by "come this way". We were the only ones in the restaurant at 3pm, which didn't bother us. What bothered us outside of not being greeted was how rushed we were after asking for time because this was our first time eating there. No recommendations were made. We ordered appetizers, Thai Shrimp soup, a red curry dish, and a mango chicken dish. Everything was brought out at the same time in a timely matter, but by the time you enjoy your appetizers and soup the main dish was cold. The appetizers and soup were really good, however both our main courses were not. The rice tasted like burnt sesame oil and both main dishes were quite oily as well. Given the already bad atmosphere, it wasn't worth complaining. We were just ready to leave and plan a better dinner. Wouldn't you know, they didn't even say bye.
Food is very consistent. Staff is friendly enough. The actual restaurant has a low light ambience that I really enjoy when we eat in.The servers re generally very busy running to go orders for online ordering platforms, so be prepared for slow table service. This can be especially cumbersome for us if we're having a few beers and we will have empty glasses for a few minutes. But it's understandable.Highly recommend.
Lin's Asian Café is a great restaurant. The food is always very flavorful. The portions are very generous. My favorite appetizer is the fried wontons with crab cream cheese. If you want to dine in- it's very clean.
It was my first time there, the guy that asked me how he could help me wasn't very helpful but I managed to get what I wanted from their menu, it wasn't INexpensive but it was EXCELLENT! OMG? It makes me want to go there Right Now thinking about it! I got Tso chicken, chicken fried rice & Orange chicken, they were large portions & I ate a LOT & had leftovers. It was around $30
This is the third time I have tried this place & it will be that last. Typical Asian American sauces sugary & syrupy. Mine even had a pepper next to it on the menu, there was no spice at all in my food. Not everybody wants sugar in their food. It was also barely warm. Too bad because the decor inside the restaurant is very nice.
Food Ordered: Shumai, Glazed Walnut Shrimp, Vegetable Pad Thai, Hot TeaI would not consider this place to be authentic Chinese cuisine. I tried this restaurant for the first time this evening, because the wide selection of food on the menu and the location to my family's place while visiting for the holidays.Originally we tried to do carry out, but we were on hold for 4 min, so we hung up and just decided to drive there and eat in person. The tea was awful, tasted like burnt seasame oil, the dishes provided to us were dirty (they even took them back and apologized), the shumai appetizer arrived cold and with the entrees- not to mention it was extremelySmall for shumai. The biggest disappointment would probably be the two entrees- the walnut shrimp was entirely too oily and the pad thai was ordered with vegetables not tofu. I can't eat tofu, so when we told our waiter we can't have tofu, they took the order back, tossed it, and still charged us without offering to remake it.No box was needed- will not go back. Not great service, and not authentic chinese cuisine
