Food was fantastic and being raised in an Italian restaurant I am hard to please. However, their food and service was spot on. Their wine selection was very affordable and current. I highly recommend.
Food: It will Definitely exceed your expectations; you will be surprised. - Appetizers: Must try the Stuffed artichoke…. Skip the escargot (Lumache), it is very good, but not exceptional. - Entrée/main dishes: The Bolognese is the Signature dish, YOU HAVE to try it at least once. One of my favorites is the Vitello Martini. The Quatro Formagi is very heavy, but “A Heaven dish” - Deserts: Tiramisu is always wonderful. The Bread Pudding is “The Signature” Drinks: I recommend the Blueberry Basil Margarita Service: Depends on the server. First time male server was ok. Second time, Jennette S. was exceptional. Ambience/atmosphere: Small place, not upscale, very relaxed atmosphere especially on weekdays. Value: Top dishes, reasonably priced. Overall rating! 5 out of 5 (mainly for food rating) Recommendations: It is our favorite Italian in our neighborhood. I can eat there every day, if I have to.
Awesome experience! Greer is a lovely little town that has so much to offer, especially L’Incanto! Some of the best Italian cuisine we have had in quite a while. The Bolognese is fantastic and the Scampi e Pancetta was out of this world.! They have a very nice drink menu too! The only advice I would give is to add a smidge of salt to the dishes. Definitely one to grab a table for.
Fabulous. Visited with my wife for the first time last Saturday. We have been wanting to try it out for a while but never called early enough to get a reservation. The food was awesome and service was even better. Prices were fair and we probably or a ered more than we needed. They have a great bar area and I believe we found a new favorite place in Greer. Can't wait to go back.
Ambience and service were great, food is higher quality and priced accordingly. My wife very much enjoyed her clam linguine, while my mushroom risotto was underdone and crunchy. Thankfully, the manager agreed to remake the risotto, which was much better the second attempt.
L'incanto overall was a positive experience. Having never been here before and reading the reviews, the expectations were high.We were asked a total of four times if we were celebrating a special occasion and we let them know it was an anniversary each time. We assumed this meant that they were going to give us a small dessert or something (like many other restaurants) but nothing ever came of it nor was it mentioned again. Why even ask? ?♂️The atmosphere in the front looked nice but the back mostly looks like a typical restaurant. Any other time we've gone to a more expensive place they put a lot of emphasis on the atmosphere.Service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable on the dishes we asked about and made suggestions based on her personal tastes and the most popular items other customers have ordered. We ended up getting filet mignon and bolognese as our entrees along with the bread appetizer and the ravioli. The bread (as another review points out) seemed to be a basic pre-cooked bread rather than a fresh miniature loaf like you would expect from other fine dining restaurants. The ravioli was pretty good for what it was and had great flavor... it actually acted as a much better base to dip the bread into compared to the supplied oil/vinegar.Our entrees (supposed to be the star of the show) were a little disappointing. The waitress passively said the chef had worked in a Michelin star restaurant at some point when we said we were first time diners (or something of the sort) so it immediately raised our expectations. The bolognese was said to be one of the most popular dishes but can only be described as forgettable. No bold flavors and the noodles were a bit soggy/overcooked. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. I would not order it again though, I would for sure try something else. The filet mignon was extremely tender and basically melted in your mouth... unfortunately, it was served rare instead of medium as ordered. The only pink was around the outside perimeter, while 3/4 of the piece of meat was a dark burgundy and what I would describe as warm. I'm not one to send food back so even though it was a great cut of meat (as far as I can tell) we ended up leaving at least half of a $60+ fillet on the plate. The mashed potatoes that came with the filet were fantastic and were easily the best food item between our entrees. We did get some drinks and both of the drinks we got were great - if you end up going here I would definitely recommend the blueberry margherita. All in all it was a positive experience but next time we're in the mood for "fine dining" we will likely look elsewhere.
Amazing food and service
we celebrated our anniversary tonight & had such a great time! Service was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and wine was delicious!
Came back for the Bolognese!!! So delicious!!! The dish just explodes with flavor. If someone would ask me, what would I have for my last meal, this would be the dish ? The apple tart with cinnamon glaze and vanilla gelato was also very good !!!We were seated very quickly without reservations. Very romantic atmosphere, love that booth in the back, very private.
I have to give L,Incanto 5 stars for the food, server and drinks. This restaurant only deserves 5 stars. However they also deserve a better hostess because although everything about our dinner this past Saturday was beyond perfection, such as the food and our server, the hostess put a major damper on the entire experience and set the tone for a bad night. Our server made every effort to pull us through and she darn near did but we still left feeling slighted. Not a good feeling on a $400 night. It was my Daughters birthday dinner, my husband had made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and when the hostess sort of greeted us (not really), we told her our 4th person had to cancel so she gave us a dirty look, then told a gentleman to seat us at table 8. NEVER take table 8! It’s two steps from a swinging door to the kitchen. My husband asked the guy if we could take the table just a little further from the kitchen and his response was “that table is reserved”.??? We had a reservation also! The people showed up for that table halfway through our evening! Really? Clearly we were being punished for the person in our party who got called into an emergency and this hostess cannot take a change in stride. Again, the complete absence of any welcome or greeting was almost redeemed by the mind blowing excellent food and impeccable service of our server. Get a better hostess as they are the first impression.
