We gave this restaurant a try for my sister’s bday dinner….party of nine (we made a reservation). Service was terrible….we had to ask for menus, ask for napkins, ask for silverware, ask 3 or 4 times for drinks/refills, ask for salt (never came). We waited on food for over a hour. Everyone’s order came out except for my dad’s. Everyone finished eating, dad still had no food. Two people in part had to leave, dad still had no food. They ended up putting dad’s order in a to-go box and gave to him for free….but that didn’t fill him up. They told my sister when seating us that they were bringing her a special birthday drink from the bar….never came. It took another 20 minutes to get our checks and the two servers had to ask each person what they ordered in order to divide the check properly…even tho we explain how they would be split while ordering. This was in my top 3 worse restaurant experiences.

Came here to dine for a group. A reservation was made for us. They were not ready for us and had to move tables around for our party of 8.Atmosphere 5/5Food 4/5Not much options on menu…Portions size way too small for adults.Wait too long (2 hours to finally get entrees).Overpriced drinks.
We were there on karaoke night and the atmosphere was fun and lively. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. I will definitely return with my husband for a date night and with my sons for karaoke.
I had an amazing experience last night at Crate Restaurant downtown Greer. The place is a whole vibe. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. (Fall of the bone Beef ribs, yams, collards and bourbon cheesecake). Gina and Jason gave so much thought and attention to my table. I met the talented chef Sheryl and I can tell she cooks everything with love. (Btw this a black women owned business! Go sis go ! I love seeing people thrive in thier God given talents. ) Tuesday nights are karaoke and comedy night. I can’t wait to go back it’s rare to find a gem ? like this where the food is ? and the environment is welcoming and comfortable, and the service was on point. My only regret is not Finding them sooner. Crate restaurant… I’ll see you Tuesday!

I visited this restaurant for the first time last night. The atmosphere was phenomenal! There was karaoke, prize giveaways and the food was awesome! The staff was so pleasant and attentive. I went here by chance but I will definitely be returning! If you’re looking for a unique experience in Greer, this is it!
The atmosphere is very nice and private. I have enjoyed visiting Crate on a couple recent occasions and had an ok experience. The food that I was able to get on past visits was very good and worth the price. The drinks were ok. On my previous visits, I felt like the wait times for food and drinks were longer than they should have been and the restaurant was empty (a handful of patrons) but my food was good after the wait so I accepted the wait time. Last night (Tuesday night) was different. The restaurant was full, at least 4 servers- my party was not greeted by anyone. Eventually I got a servers attention after being there over 30 minutes. She took my order, and I told her I would like to order drinks and she said ok and never returned. We never got our food, never got to order drinks and we were there listening to music for 2 hours. I would have left sooner if it were not for the music. Based on the declining experiences, I am not sure if I would give them another try.
1) Employees talking bad about the patrons. Patrons had asked for the music volume to be turned down a little. 2) 1/2 pours for the wine at $24. WOW!!!! 3) Taco's were very rich... Sides are extra. 4) Felt misrepresented about this restaurant. 5) Place was empty tho they said that Tuesday night Karaoke is busy. I will not be returning.
