*Caveat: It was pretty hot inside. Perhaps the AC was not working well that day.My verdict: If you're a fan of Southern comfort food, I would highly recommend this place.I went on a Wednesday (Big Boy's has a menu that varies depending on the day). I tried a number of items, varying from amazing to just okay. Some particular standouts were the fried fish (suai), the country fried steak, and the fried chicken. The fried chicken is reminiscent of Publix, Spinx, and the like. I would put Big Boy's chicken as top class for the style. Some of the other items I tried may have been out too long (considering how good the fried chicken was, I found my particular lemon pepper chicken piece dry and mediocre) or were standard fare (the corn dog was okay, nothing special).Service was great. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and timely. Decor is pleasant, nothing too fancy. I didn't get to try the desserts and I don't typically get vegetable dishes or salads at buffets so I can't speak on those.

Strongly recommend you stop in here if you are in the area.Often in this style of home cooking buffet restaurants, some of the foods have a bland flavor... NOT the case here. Everything was delicious. There was so much variety to choose.I may have over ate but couldn't leave without trying the banana pudding ?

Outstanding buffet and service. Some of the very best fried chicken anywhere. Numerous great entree choices and vegetables. Salad bar is very fresh and nice. Desserts are plentiful, but pass on the apple cobbler.

The staff was very courteous and polite. The food was plentiful and edible, for sure. I wasn't expecting gourmet, so my realistic expectations were definitely met. I liked it want to go back to try more items

I love this place and the staff. I have never not been greeted with a smile! The food is delicious and always fresh

I hate leaving negative reviews but I tried to allow the restaurant to handle this and they did not. I got food poisoning from the buffet yesterday. The pulled pork, meatballs, and baked beans were all clearly reheated. I went against my better judgement and ate the meatballs because they tasted okay. I’ve had terrible stomach pain and haven’t kept anything down in hours. I messaged the store to let them know and they had the manager call. She said she doesn’t know what happened because she was working when we came and everything was “pretty fresh.” She then asked what she could do for me because they didn’t want us to quit coming. I shouldn’t have had to ask for the issue to be handled with something other than defensiveness that things were “pretty fresh.” The fact that she was there as the manager and the buffet looked like that says enough. I should have trusted my gut when things didn’t look right but I trusted the tons of other times we’ve gone and had a good meal. We’ve supported Big Boys since they were at Lake Robinson a long time ago but we will not be back.

This restaurant is great! First time here and the fried okra was fried to perfection! The bar area was very clean, the food was on point, and the waitress Shannon was the BEST!

they have a large selection and all you can eat of meats, veggies and deserts. It's traditional country cooking. For my tastes, the veggies are over cooked and the white gravy and macaroni and cheese had very little taste. Everything else was good.

Love this place. They have a wide variety of foods offered. They also have people stationed to stay on top of glove wearing and replenishment. I could not have asked for a better buffet experience during covid. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful fresh food the best buffet I’ve been too in a long time
