The BEST bacon cheeseburger and fries I’ve had in a LONG time! Definitely check this spot out. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but their food is delicious and fresh.
The Dixie is a Greenwood institution that has fed generations of families at this point. Dixie cheese half and half is the stuff dreams are made of! I relocated to Texas 10 years ago and still get cravings for their burgers after all this time. Great to be able to relive my youth at least one more time on this trip back home.
Will always be a staple of Greenwood! One the last original restaurants that haven’t changed since opening! Can never go wrong when visiting the restaurant.
What a wonderful hometown burger joint. Last 2 visits have been simply wonderful. Deliciousness on a plate....4 Dixie cheese and mixed 50/50 fries and rings. Sat outside.and plates were out in less than 5 minutes
We discovered this place in an "Only In Your State" email about South Carolina highlights, and while we were in the area, my wife and I had lunch there. Seating is on barstools located around two U-shaped counters. Our server, Barbara, provided menus...no way to go wrong with any menu selection. Since we were on the last day of our weeklong road trip, we shared an indulgent lunch: chili cheeseburger with onion rings and hush puppies. The food arrived quickly...looks like a very efficient operation. All staff were constantly on the move, taking care of in-house customers as well as carryout orders, and they were clearly having fun. The burger was great, just the right amount of chili. Hush puppies were good, and the onion rings were cooked through...no pulling the entire piece of onion out when trying to bite into them. Server Barbara kept our drinks filled and chatted with us a bit. We could immediately understand why this place is a popular fixture in the community. It was a great choice for lunch on our last day of the road trip.
It was good. For some reason the cheeseburgers don't taste the same like they used too. But it was still good. I know people taste changes .
Great place to eat. Food is delicious. Service is excellent. We drive past all the time and the parking lot is always busy. My sister and I thought we'd give it a try. We knew walking in the food was going to be great. The restaurant smells like home cooking.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food is just ok. Burgers are small.
I've been eating here for my entire life, and I've never had a bad experience or bad food! Great people, great food, and a great connection to the past for Greenwood!
