Food was great service was polite... Do not get in a rush. Tuesday morning low traffic... And although everything was perfect food-wise... And as I said the service when it was received was extremely polite... It took forever from start to finish. Maybe low staff I don't know. Dang Gina, 30 to 40 minutes took an hour and a half.. 3/4 of the place was empty. Other than that I would have gave it a higher rating. I think postcode has hit a lot of places like this in the staff department... On my way out I saw a sign down the road and the waffle house window said hiring all shifts.
Very disappointed in the service this past visit. I know it was Mother's Day; however, our issue wasn't that we had to wait in line for an hour to be seated. Our issue was that our waitress kept forgetting about us. We were seated and she promptly came to our table and got our drink order, request for biscuits/cornbread, and food order. We eat there are frequently enough that we already knew what we wanted to eat. I expressed to her that I was particularly hungry after having to wait and that I wanted to get our biscuits and cornbread soon and not wait on our meal to get them. So she returned with our drinks and no bread. She said that they were just coming out of the oven and she would bring them right out. By that time three other tables had been seated in her area. She greeted them and got their drink orders. She brought our food out to us still with no bread. I reminded her about the bread and she said I'll go get it now. Then, I saw her serving bread to the other three tables that had just been seated. She did not bring us our bread at that time. After waiting a while and halfway through our meal, I got the attention of the hostess and asked her for bread. She brought us the bread that we had been requesting. There was no wait. She simply went back there, got it and brought it to us and it was fresh and warm. I do not understand why we were seated first and everybody else got bread well before we ever did. She returned to our table later to check on us and never apologized or even mentioned the bread. That was rude.
Was very disappointed on this visit. Vegetable soup was on the menu. I ordered that with a loaded baked potato. Waitress came to tell me that they were out of soup. OK. I opted for baked potato. When potato arrived it was not edible. It was overcooked with skin being tough. My friends was the same way. With that being said I didn't eat. (I know I could have ordered something different but after recovering from a 3day virus I wasn't going to push it.)
Served quickly. Food was hot and delicious. Thank you Kylie for the refills. Just moved back to SC from Florida. Nice to know cracker barrel never changes. Even got serenaded while we ate???????
I love Cracker Barrel! They've got good southern cooked food, the gift area always has a great selection that is set up beautifully, and the employees are friendly! On certain days of the week it's hard to get in and you'll have to wait 30 minutes to an hour. That in itself is evidence of quality food and a great atmosphere! Worth the wait!
Good food. Our waitress was only adequate this visit. She did most of what we asked, forgot a few things. Definitely lacked personality.
The food was ordered curbside and it was a complete order. This is a large improvement over the past few times I have ordered here. The food was good and the service for curbside was good.
I love going to the Cracker Barrel because I love to shop in the Country Store. They have things you can’t find anywhere else. The restaurant, however, is always a give or take. I’ve had great food and I’ve also had horrible food from there. You never know how it will be. Lunch is usually better in my opinion.
We ate at the Cracker Barrel tonight - Monday. We got there around 8:30 PM. My sister ordered greens and beans. I ordered mashed potatoes & gravey, fried okra, fried apples, and pintos. The food was awful. The only thing that was good were the fried apples ( though not hot), the biscuits, and the tea. The potatoes must have been sitting there since yesterday, the okra was not hot, the pintos we're dry and not hot. None of it was hot. My sister ate part of her pintos and a few bites of the greens. The greens were salty and the pintos we're dry. I addressed it with the manager and his reply was I'm sorry you feel that way. We usually eat there two to three times a week. The food is usually good, but tonight If you are not going to have good, hot, fresh food between 8 & 9, then close at 8:00 PM. We wasted $20+ dollars & we can't afford it. It was not eatable. We left most of it on the table.
went in for breakfast , by time we got our food it was lunch....that's after the 20 minutes waiting for a table.
