I work at a Waffle House in NC. I decided to visit this WH last night and this morning since it is right next to my hotel!The service last night was amazing! The server last night was so sweet and very kind!However, the service this morning was not the best. The morning server brought my food and never checked on me after that. I also asked her for Mayo and WH sauce when she came back with the food, and didn’t even really acknowledge my response. Regardless, the food was delicious!The restaurant looked clean and I would go again, I’d just sit in another servers section.
I understand that it is hard to find workers. My family went into the Pelham Rd., Greer SC Waffle House and they have tables blocked off with signs saying not to sit there. My family waited in line. A construction crew came in, the staff spoke to them as if they knew them and the workers sat at one of the tables posted not to sit at. No one bothered to ask if we were waiting including the waitress. She just began waiting on them with us standing there waiting on a table. You would think they would have told us if it was ok to sit at the table with a sign on it or would have told them we were waiting. We were not spoken to when we entered like we are at other waffle houses. They just totally ignored us.
This is my all time favorite Waffle House. That makes it so sad for me to leave this review for today. We waited over 20 minutes and there was an empty table they did not clean. I mentioned it and was told there were only 2 servers and if I wanted to go somewhere else we were welcome to. The people in front of us waited a long time for their table to be cleaned and the server was rude to them as well. They were not busy and there was absolutely no hustle by any of the staff and I pointed that out as well. If you don’t want to work and serve people, then don’t. I’ll go back another day during the weekend when the great team that hustles is working.
VIC MADE ME THE BEST LOOKING AND TASTING OMELET I EVER HAD. 5 EGGS WITH STEAM HASHBROWNS TOMATOES, ONION, MUSHROOMS, WITH BEEF. BEST PROTEIN TO EAT AFTER I WORKOUT. BEEN FASTING ALL DAY JUST SO I CAN ENJOY THIS.
One can find a WaffleHouse everywhere, but it will be hard to find the afternoon crew of Vic and his coworkers who go out of their way to make you feel like family! Food is always prepared the way I want, coffee is never ending and the conversation is good
Wow if you haven't been to this Waffle House. Your missing out! The cook on duty last night was the best. The three of us had probably the best meal we have ever eaten at a Waffle House ! Thanks VIC! (FYI I had the Bacon philly steak melt with grilled onions and bacon crispy). Was done PERFECTLY !
The place is amazing to cook there james victor couey really knows the grill and Cooks amazing food was so good and he was there by himself too friendly attitude made me feel welcome I recommend this place to anybody especially third shift
I guess the staffing shortages hit them. Showed up at 930pm and staff said they were closed. Google still says open 24hrs. Kind of disappointing since I drove here for work and was looking forward to eggs and a waffle. Still love WaHo. Just disappointed.
Good luck even trying to eat here. This location is never open and doesn’t post up to date hours.
