The experience at this restaurant in funky west greenville was just outstanding! We had the swordfish and it was some of the best we have ever had. The sauces included was delicious. My compliments to the chef! Our server Dani was outstanding in every way from knowledge of the menu to wine choice. And just a delightful young lady. Thank you Dani for a wonderful experience. So yes I highly recommend the Anchorage and will be back with friends to introduce them as well.
This was the best dining experience I’ve had since being in Greenville. From the first moment walking in the door we were welcomed by the hostess with a big, friendly smile and were led to our table with a warm welcome and introduction. Our server, Mike, was superb going over the menu, making suggestions, and assuring us the kitchen could cater to any dietary restriction we had. The food was IMPECCABLE. The whole dining and culinary experience was absolutely wonderful. Would highly recommend coming here!!!
Lovely dinner at The Anchorage, we enjoyed the most amazing food ever in Greenville (which says a lot as there are so many good restaurants here). The tasting menu is highly recommended to experience all they offer. Fresh ingredients and inspired flavor combination. Nice wine list too! A really memorable meal in a cozy quaint setting, away from the Main Street crowd.
My wife and I made reservations using the Anchorage's website for last Saturday night. We were shown to our seats about 5 minutes after arriving and checking in with the hostess. The restaurant has table seating on the patio, inside on the first floor and bar and table seating on the second floor. We sat at the bar on the second floor. We were next to another couple on each side, but were not crowded as the spacing is adequate. The restaurant is well decorated, and has a nice relaxed feeling. All the folks that served us, including the bar tender, were all smiles and very accommodating. The menu includes a lot of locally sourced food items. We ended up ordering the Tasting Table, which is a four course sampling of most all the dinner dishes. Three different dishes came out on three different occasions, followed by desert. All the dishes looked appealing, and some like the Siano Burrata were super delightful. The cheese, beets and strawberries blended perfectly. I also loved the rabbit and ravioli. My least favorite dishes were the asparagus panzanella and the brewster oats. The desert was very tasty. We also had some of their sophisticated cocktails, and all were on the mark. Price wise, count on spending $100 per person. We will definitely visit again, and we can't wait to see what new items show up on the menu.
I am unable to eat out due to very severe food allergies, and this is the one restaurant I am able to go to. The chef and staff are SO on top of my allergies. I've never once had an issue going there. They are attentive, responsible, and kind. And even if food allergies weren't an issue, I would still choose to go there, because honestly the food is delicious. The chef is a true artist.
Great food and service. Will go back
This is one of the best restaurants I've experienced in a long time. Every detail was thought out and executed impressively. From the cocktails, to the wine, to the bread, butter, and every plate, including the out of this world desert. I will absolutely return. You will not be let down.
A very nice spot. Farm to market fresh. We ordered the full four course meal which was a great way to experience the majority of the menu. All in, we were about $100 a person including an alcoholic drink. Given the quality, we felt that was reasonable. The location is relaxed and smart casual is the vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and service.
First time, excellent experience. Great service and food. Small menu, but still a nice variety of options. Got to try most of the menu, the plates are small, but filling, and all were very tasty. Definitely going back for the tasting menu.
Food and service was awesome. My only suggestion would be better signage. The have a large sign on the grey building on the corner but the entrance is actually in a yellow building to the right that looks like a wine shop and has little tiny lettering.Other than being a little difficult to figure how to enter , the food was fantastic. Will definitely go again.
