I had a great experience eating at Steak 'n Shake with my family. The onion rings were the best I've ever eaten! And the service was excellent. I saw two primary servers for the whole restaurant, so it took a little bit of time for the food to come, which was fine.My brother-in-law's meal was a bit overdone. Plus, two shakes were more like milk than ice cream, but those were replaced with somewhat firmer shakes.All in all, my family had a positive experience at this restaurant.
Me and my wife went here for lunch on Good Friday and there was a sign at the front stating that they were short handed so please be patient with the staff. We thought that might be a problem but we were seated quickly, got our order in quickly and got our food very quick too. The food was very good and the price was even better. We have had food service problems here in the past with a full staff working so this was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress Jacqueline was very nice, attentive and was working very hard as well.
My experience at this steak&shake location was unsatisfactory and grotesque. We had to explain our drive thru order to the operator numerous times. The cashier spent a long time attempting to apply a discount from the app and finally decided not to honor the reward due to "app issues". After paying for our food, we then found the order was incorrect; missing fries, wrong condiments. To add to the list, the milkshakes we ordered were only 75% full. I've never been more dissatisfied by a fast food establishment ...
We enjoyed the cheeseburger and onion rings. I have had cheeseburgers that cost double the price and they did not impress me but the burger here was really good. Go from 2 to 4 pm and the drinks and shakes are half price.
My daughter and I ordered the single burger, which we should've ordered the double..that way we would've at least had a regular size patty. Not only that, the burger was cold. It was just nasty. We couldn't even eat it. Highly recommend not going here. I will never return to Steak 'n Shake!!!
KIDS EAT FREE ON THE WEEKEND! But seriously my family stopped for lunch on my birthday. It is such a great value for the money. I wish they had one in Spartanburg.
We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was very busy. We were suprised by how good the service was. She did a great job getting our food out fast and keeping our drinks full.
Why is this place still in business? Employees have to be the most unhappy, stressed out restaurant workers in the area by their attitudes. If you get takeout food from there it will be cold because it takes so long for anyone to even acknowledge you walking in before you get your food that’s been sitting there waiting.
We love Steak n' Shake! Good food and the employees are hard working and courteous. Everyone here goes out of their way to make sure customers have a good experience. Well done!
Just went to eat there tonight, arrived at 7. We were seated quickly got drinks, and milkshakes first. As time passed we Noticed that a lot of the customers surrounding us that had been there who knows how long still had not received their food. After almost an hour of waiting The whole restaurant began to become antsy and looking around. A father from a family and a table of eight or so people that had been there long before we had were upset that they still have not received their food, but the tables That had had their orders taken after them were receiving their food before this family was. He then asked to speak to the manager and when he spoke with the manager The whole crew of steak ‘n Shake were all trying to say he was wrong and then it escalated and they all started screaming at each other and cussing at each other. Even though the customers were cussing I feel that the crew of steak ‘n Shake still should have been apologetic about how long everyone in the restaurant had been waiting on their food and that it was their fault everyone was so upset. Not saying the customer is always right because they reacted unaccordingly and disrespectful. But the whole crew from steak ‘n Shake ran outside about to fight/brawl and it made me and my family uncomfortable they also ran into my sons high chair while charging out the door at this family. This is the first restaurant that I’ve ever felt uncomfortable and very unsatisfied I do not recommend going to this restaurant until they are under new management or at least retrain the employees.
