Wanted to like this place, but I just can't.Pluses:Very clean.Well kept, nice older decorPleasant enough and efficient staff/system if not overly engaging or all too friendly.Plenty of parking.Minuses:Somebody set up the menu and processes a LONG time ago. Seems like they developed things in the 60's or 70's would be my guess and haven't changed a thing since. The problem with that is that food sciences have come a long, long way since then. Everything was bland, of questionable quality and just poor in general. Like institutional food. While everything was overcooked it somehow managed to come out luke warm at best.I would just have to relay to the owners that no doubt Grandma & Grampa set up a very efficient operation and they were obviously meticulous about how things were put together; but you need to update everything about their menu and methodologyNow, I have no doubt that some old-school locals have a place in their heart for this establishment and the patrons there seemed generally older, which makes sense.(I'm no spring chicken myself), so perhaps I'm being a little harsh on their niche customer base. And if they have a base that loves this place, that is all well and good. But be forewarned foodie people, the food here is exceptionally bad.
We just got our food will let y’all know how great it was. The food was good. We love coming here for supper too. I had a omelette with the corn beef hash wife had fried ham with poached eggs and grits and toast. So y’all come try it out. They only the downside is they don’t take payment at the table you need to go to the bar stand in line usually.
I am sad that I don't live close to this place. When we travel we go to the local places. This was exactly what we look for. I ordered pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and blackberry cobbler. My husband has country fried steak, mac & cheese, potatoes. Every single thing was beyond my wildest dreams. I had several involuntary close-your-eyes-and-savor- the-taste moments. Our server, Tina, was the definition of Southern hospitality. To restate my opinion,I put on my to-go box "heaven in a box"

We eat here most Sundays between church services. The food and service is always excellent. I get something different each week.
This one of the best breakfast whole in the wall joints we have ever been too.
Great breakfast. Great staff. Food comes quick. We stop for breakfast when we can on our way out of town. Everything is just as it should be with modest pricing to boot. Wait staff will happily make your order right if there is any confusion.
We live near Chicago and look forward to eating here at least once when we visit our family in Greenville. Great biscuits and gravy and French toast and even better service. Tina, who was our server, is the sweetest lady.
First time I have been there in several years. Had a great basic breakfast at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back.
There pot roast is amazing & such a sweet waiter we had ❤❤❤
