Salad was a joke with only 2 dressings to choose from. Soup was ok a little tasteless. Rice could do with more flavor. Chicken was fine until I noticed a hair in the food. Server wasn’t worried had to ask for a manager. They asked if I wanted new rice I’d already done eating they did give a discount but they still didn’t seem to bothered a hair was in my food. Cocktails were ok very strong alcohol taste but just about drinkable. Will not be returning. Should of stayed Joe’s Crab Shack

We had the Blue Ridge High School JV cheer banquet/luncheon yesterday. We had 14 cheerleaders, 2 coaches and about 17 parents. Even with this large of a party, our servers and hibachi chefs were on point with everything from drink service to how delicious the food was. The chefs were very comical with the girls and they enjoyed their experience. The luncheon was a huge success thanks to the Samurai staff and would highly recommend them for private events.

Honestly, I went here expecting Joe's Crab Shack. I had no clue they had closed. I was hesitant about trying it as I just really wanted seafood. After debating, my girlfriend and I decided to try it. We didn't want hibachi so we were seated quickly. The waitress was polite and prompt with our drinks. We took our time ordering because this was a new restaurant to use. We placed our entree orders along with the appetizers. Our appetizers showed up quickly. I ordered the calamari and she ordered the shrimp tempora. It was delicious! I had decided to try the udon. Omg wow. It was probably one of the best I've had. My girlfriend ordered the pan fried udon with chicken. It was hot when she received it, but the chicken was dry. Our meal was just under $50. So we were happy. The two things that kept this from being 5 stars were it took quite a long time to receive our entrées and my girlfriend's chicken was over cooked. Still, we will be back.

First time here with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. We sat at the bar because there was an hour and a half wait for the hibachi tables. We didn't mind that. The bartender was our server and she was very nice. We ordered maybe 20 minutes after sitting down, only because we were looking over the menu since it was our first time here and we were also waiting on some drinks that we ordered. As the bartender was taking our food order the manager came and interrupted her for about 5 minutes for an issue with a different customer. She came back and finished the order. We waited for a little over an hour before actually getting our food. I believe the kitchen missed our order and I'm pretty sure the manager noticed as well because he pulled the bartender aside again. The manager never came to us to let us know about any issues in the kitchen or just to check in. The food was pretty decent but I don't believe we will be back after this experience. It wasn't horrible but I felt like there was a disconnect between front of the house and back of the house service. Also, the manager didn't seem to have a discreet way of handling issues and speaking with service staff in front of customers.

This is our second time eating at Samurai. The food and service was very good.

Went here for a birthday celebration. I can say some of the best service I have had in years! Everything was delicious! The only negatives I can say are some of the dipping sauces are not what I personally like, but they are not nasty. Had some film on my plate and they were quick to bring a hot, clean, dry plate. Husband loved his sushi. The cooks are great and engaging and very sweet to kids. I cant wait to go back!

This was my first time coming to this restaurant -- I ordered online to-go, and when I went to pick it up, I saw some delicious looking sushi in there that I didn't mean to order. (User error, totally my own fault). The hostess Megan was so kind and friendly and quick to work something out. Chef Tom made quick work of fixing up my order. I planned to rate them highly for the service alone, but I must add that the sushi is also delicious! We got the simpler rolls but they are so delicious with great flavor. Would definitely recommend ♥

Had a good experience ordering takeout from them previously. Not sure of what changed but ordered takeout again and was thoroughly disappointed. There was almost no calamari or crab for our sides and the hibachi was greatly lacking. Will not be back.

Food was okay. Decent portions. Decent priced. The cook could of had a better attitude. He was basically throwing the food on our plate. Hardly did any of the typical hibachi “show” I have been to 20+ Japanese places and this one tastes good but the service could be better. Ginger sauce and yum yum is good. They take Groupon, so use that if you’re able to!

Tonight was our first time trying this restaurant!-Staff was very friendly and attentive-The restaurant as a whole was very clean! A lot of restaurants struggle with this-I LOVED the ginger salad dressing!-Soup was very flavorful-Our cook was very nice-Food was fresh, tasteful, and well cooked (only thing I wish is for the rice to have little carrots or something else besides just egg)-Food was not overpriced either, we had plenty left to take home
