I’m sure it’s been about two years since I’ve had OTB and I was so excited to see all the new menu items. I anticipated a great experience because there was like no one else in the place. The food was hot and service was ok I tried the new chipotle shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Unfortunately there’s a lack of communication between the waitresses and kitchen. I ordered empanadas and our waitress asked me if I wanted chicken or beef, she said it was an order of four so I asked for 2 chicken and 2 beef. This was the very first thing I ordered and I never got what I asked for. Makenzie, our waitress, first brought me five beef empanadas. After I ate three beef I was excited for the chicken only to find that it was just two more beef. I brought it to her attention and she apologized and said she would go get two chicken empanadas. Needless to say she brought me two more beef and at this point I’m a little annoyed. She took it back and said she’d get me chicken this time for sure. We were preparing to leave at this point so she packed two BEEF empanadas to go. Of course I broke them open prior to leaving because by now I don’t trust that they even have chicken at all. So then I show Makenzie and she proceeds to tell me that the guy in the kitchen just does whatever he wants as if that helps the situation at all. I said forget it because at this point I’m ready to go and already have a bad taste for this place. I can’t say that I’ll be back, empanadas is usually my go to appetizer and I can’t even get them the way I order because the guy in the kitchen is just going to make whatever he wants. No thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised....it's a chain restaurant! Cinco de Mayo was a great first time experience. Well worth the wait. Filled my time at the bar with friends. Good bar tender. Dinner menu was phenomenal. Really delicious, nice choices on the menu, it was difficult to choose. Our waitress was right on target with drink refills and making sure we were pleased.

The food has always been pretty good here for dinner. I love their outdoor patio and enjoying a nice beer outside on a Friday night. Their salsa is very good and has the right amount of heat. Fajitas are my favorite here and you can never go wrong with them. Service was fantastic. However, I recently came back for lunch and the food wasn't as good then. Portion sizes have gone down and prices have gone up. I understand inflation and covid has hit restaurants hard, but I shouldn't be charged $13 for a lunch bowl with white rice, black beans, salsa, and 4 pieces of chicken. You can find a more filling lunch at other places for much cheaper.Overall I would give OTB a 7/10.

the service was great! thx.

Very slow. We almost had to leave before the food came. Now it was during lunch so idk about dinner. The server was very courteous it was just the kitchen. Food was good though just didn’t have much time to enjoy it

Staff was friendly and restaurant was very clean. Service was great and our waiter was Really nice. The reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because even though the tacos and queso was good we werent wild about any of the other food at all. Just not our preference when it comes to food.

First time eating at On The Border and I must say, it is slightly better than Chuy’s. Not by much, but slightly better. Beef empanadas were great. The pick 3 combo is the best value in my opinion. Would definitely recommend this place.

The last time I went to an On The Border was about two years ago. The last one I went to was this one. The food has gone down hill. I ordered some birria tacos and wished I would have taken pictures, but I usually don't. They came out on a plain tortilla with a little bit of shredded meat and a bunch of cubed pieces. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu or a birria taco. The waitress was great, but I will not be coming here anymore.

I do not know how this place is still open. The worst food I have ever had. So want them to be good but it’s just not there. Spent 60$ and all 3 of us didn’t even touch our food and left hungry. All management had to do was see the plates were full and not touched and realized there was a problem. Food was still cold when it hit the table.

Alex the manager was amazing, he was knowledgeable about the Restaurant and it’s menu. He also is really good at managing his employees. It was my first visit to On The Border and I was very happy with the service and the food as well. Our server Corrinna was so good at her job; she should do a commercial for the company. Also the food was fresh, tasted amazing and was presented very well.
