This place used to be good .. now it’s absolutely disgusting ? the meat is tasteless dry and old .. the rice was chewy.. hard taco was stale.. etc we talked to management (Maria) and we were told it’s our fault !!!! Wow never going back to this place.. they also give u less food so if you take a few bites and realize how nasty it is they claim u must have liked it ??♀️
It used to be a fav but I honestly haven't been anywhere since the pandemic but decided to go dine-in. We were seated but I had to flag someone down after waiting for 10 minutes and not being waited on. My boyfriends order was served wrong 2x. I noticed other ppl waiting longer than needed...having to flag someone down to even pay before leaving. We had to do the same after waiting more than needed. Of they were short staffed, that should have been explained before being seated that the wait time is longer than usual due to being short staff. If that is not the issue, the staff really needs to have a meeting to provide better customer service.
We are here about once a week for 10 years. Tonight was terrible. Absolutely won't be back for a while if at all. The server was obviously new. I got my plate first. Ten ish minutes later the second plate had come out for 2 of my kids. Missing the extra plate it was supposed to have. 3rd plate came out almost 10 minutes later. I had to go find the manager and talk to her about my boyfriends plate. We were there celebrating my sons and boyfriends birthday and it literally was the worst experience ever. I didn't want free food. I didn't want a meal comp. But sitting there for OVER AN HOUR for food that you could tell was sitting in the window. The manager told me that she didn't know all her food yet. I get that. I was a new server and bartender at one point. But there were 5 of us. Only 3 silverware. We has to split the silverware between us. The food came out hot but you could tell it wasn't fresh. I was so upset about this whole experience. We will stick to the one in greer.
This has been our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant for years. Lately the service has been a little subpar to be honest. The last few times we've gone there have only been a few servers and they all seem to have big sections so they can't provide the service we are used to as long time guests. Your drinks will probably not get refilled and your server may forget about you. I understand that the state of the restaurant industry is in limbo so no worries. However the food and atmosphere here is always mind blowing. My personal favorite menu item is the ACP dish-- grilled chicken, rice and queso cheese. It's like a plated burrito bowl. If you're looking for a taste of authentic Mexican that won't break the bank look no further.
I am the easiest customer to please, and I regularly tip 40% or more when I go out to eat. I just left my first zero dollar tip. This restaurant needs to fire “Jose T”! That is the name that was on the receipt, every time he has ever served us here the service is absolutely terrible. Tonight he abandoned us and did not check on us after dropping the food off. I had to walk around the restaurant and find him and give him our credit cards to pay.
Been going here for years and years. Consistent with the other monterreys in the area. Fast service and good food. Not sure if it's the language barrier but asking for a side of something or extra something gets a box by the server when taking the order but rarely comes out.
The food had no flavor.. salsa was just hot. The onions wasn't even cut up good and spinach seemed to be frozen or something rice and beans no flavor as well. Husband got steak which he said was chewy no taste either. Our waiter wad a young girl didn't check on us not 1 time I had to ask 2 times just for silverware and napkins and drink refill.. smh
Great Mexican food, seems to be more authentic than some other places around.
Food is mediocre, but management is trash. The host / manager is SUPER disrespectful. I’m scrolling through all the reviews & a lot of people seem to have the same experience with her, not sure why or how she still has a job there. Long story short you’re better off getting good service at Taco Bell.
Monterrey has changed to me. It was one of those Mexican restaurants that had the same items with no flavor so I preferred going to smaller more authentic places. It seems they have adjusted their menu. I will say that more flavor is needed as most dished are just a little bland.
