We entered Mellow Mushroom in downtown Greenville on Sunday June 26, 2022 around 4:10 pm. We noticed the restaurant was pretty much empty….there were MAYBE 3 tables occupied. When we approached the hostess booth we were told we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table…..in an empty establishment! So we waited. We were finally seated by approximately 4:30 pm. At this point there was ONE other occupied table besides our family. We sat, completely unattended to, for 25 minutes and no one attempted to take our drink order let alone our food order. So we walked out @ 4:55 pm. This entire ordeal was absolutely uncalled for. If they were “short staffed” (this seems to be the most used excuse across the board for every establishment these days), then SPEAK UP instead of flat out ignoring 4 patrons who initially chose your restaurant before going elsewhere!! Communication goes a LONG way, and simply acknowledging us along with letting us know WHY we were waiting SO long to order PIZZA would’ve been appreciated. (It surely wasn’t because they were busy. Even kitchen staff, which were easily visible from the booth we were sitting at, were standing around.) However, none of Mellow Mushroom’s employees cared enough to do this simple thing. So we took our business elsewhere.
Horrible vegan pizza. Not much effort was given when making it. Dough was not cooked thoroughly. Toppings were minimal and barely covered the pizza. Wasted money and time. Also, we asked to be seated outside, and that request was ignored
Me and the family stopped by after a Greenville Drive game and had some Pizzas and sodas!! Fantastic service & food. Highly recommended!
Pizza was good. No complaints on service for our table. Only observation was wait time. They had what seems to be 3 servers on staff Easter Sunday which I’m sure is due to staffing issues but the servers working wouldn’t take more than 3 tables at a time and the wait was over 45 minutes with 5 tables in the dining room and pizza took 40 minutes to come out. I get it’s rough staffing now but even that’s a tough one to get over.
Excellent food and pleasant dining
Crust was odd. It's hard to explain, but it was off a bit. Not terrible, just off. Also, I ordered a large meatball pizza with extra cheese and got so very few meatballs. Prices here are hefty. 4 drinks and 2 large pizzas were over $60. Won't be going back.
Such a great experience dining in the other night! The pizza was sooo good (I had the Buffalo chicken) and our server Alex was the best. You could tell she loved working there and her spirit really made the experience that much better. Loved it
The positives - service was great, pizza was delicious. The negative was mainly the place itself -- mainly it didn't feel particularly clean, and in addition it didn't have a good vibe to it; dunno if it was the decor (or lack of), or the cafeteria type feel, but it compared poorly to a couple other locations we'd been to previously. Move it, or renovate it, or put some effort into the space itself, and it'd be a winner as the food & service was really good.
Ordered pretzel bites with cheese and a "mighty meat" pizza thru uber eats.What I got for what I paid was really disappointing and uber eats is making me do this long drawn out process to even get my money back.Pretzel bites weren't even pretzels, they were these little garlic parmesan bites with cheese. Not pretzel bread at all."Mighty meaty" pizza was sparse in toppings.All my food was cold.For 51$ and almost a 2 hr wait for this food, I will not be ordering from this location again.I'd appreciate it if someone would get in touch with me about getting a full refund for this poor service and poor food quality overall.I could have spent 12$ and got a heartier pizza from the lil ceasers down the street.
This place is awful if you aren’t ordering in person. I’ve tried ordering from this place TWICE on UberEats attempting to get vegan cheese (because I do not consume cultured cow udder juice, yuck) I even CALLED because they messed up before and completely just didn’t even add the vegan cheese and it was just dough and red sauce and the girl claimed they would get it as long as I marked it on the app. Needless to say she didn’t know what she was talking about and as much as I try to love them for offering vegan options I’m over it.
