Very nice atmosphere. Super clean. The gentleman who runs the front does an incredible job. Ordered the thai dumplings for an appetizer. Perfect and tasty. My son ordered pad thai, I ordered Honey Duck. It took a while to come out because it is cooked when ordered. ( If you want fast food go to Taco Bell). The checked on us throughout the meal. Great service. The food was super tasty. Will be going back soon.
Kannika’s is a small restaurant with about 14-15 tables and bar seating. They have additional parking in the back if needed . It is quickly packed during lunch hours with a longer dining experience. However, the Pad Thai here is one of the best that Greenville offers. The food is always consistent so you can expect the same flavor each time you arrive and leave satisfied. Lunch is served with a spring roll and the meals have great portions (I’m always leaving with a box of leftovers). Must try dishes: Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and Red Curry. Their spice levels range 0-10 with 10 being the spiciest. I love spicy and usually go for a 6 or 7(right amount of spice while still enjoying all the flavors of the dish)!
Exceptional!! Wonderful food. I always order Tom Yum soup in every Thai restaurant I go to, and this is the absolute best I have ever had. I had it at a 5 spice level. Also, the best fried tofu and spring rolls I have ever eaten. The place was packed, only 2 servers on the floor, and we still received excellent service. My daughter got the garden chicken stir fry on a 4 spice level and she loved it. I got green curry on a level 8 and it made me sweat, but that's part of eating delicious curry! The portions are generous and we have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I can't say enough positive things about this place. Can't wait to go again!
The food was exquisite. They were very crowded on Friday Night, but thank goodness we reserved ahead of time. Very good experience and I will be back!
If you blink while driving you’re going to miss it. Hidden in a small shopping center Kannikas is a local Thai restaurant that I’ve been wanting to try. Parking is thought during lunch but there is an additional parking lot in the back. When you first walk in there is a smell. Like a musty odor that I had a hard time dealing with but we were determined to try the food so we sat down anyways. Thankfully the musty odor is really only in the front of the restaurant.Service was quick, the lunch menu is very easy to follow. We also got the soup which is only on the dinner menu but they serve it anytime. We went with Tom Yum with shrimp with a level 5 spice. Level 5 was just a hint of spice for us and we do enjoy spicy food. I got the Panang Curry with chicken. The curry and vegetables were great but the chicken was dry. My husband got the seafood stir fry and really enjoyed his at the level 10 spice which we thought might be too much but after eating the soup at a level 5 that was not the case.Overall we enjoyed the food, our server was really helpful and gave us suggestions for next time, and despite the age of the actual restaurant it was a great experience. We will definitely be back to try more.
Some of the best Thai food in Greenville SC! Don’t underestimate this place. It’s great!Anytime I go to a Thai place I have to try my favorite Thai dishes to judge if the place is as good as I’ve had before. This is one of the few places I can say is fantastic! The Pad Kee Mao, Pinang Curry, and spring rolls are delicious and the calamari is one of the best ever. The servers seem like family which to me is another great sign of the level of service and they did not disappoint. One interesting detail about this place is they don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own so we got to enjoy our favorite spirits with our excellent meal. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Wow, what a treat…Greenville, SC seriously has the best restaurants in the South. Thought we were spoiled living in Charleston but we never seem to fail with restaurants here in the upstate. This place “Kannikka’s Thai Kitchen” came highly recommended to us. All I’ll say is we both left the restaurant with a circus in our mouths. The food, flavours, service and experience just incredible.Another 3 Thumbs Up ? ?? and 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us.
I went here for lunch around 1:30 and it was packed. They only had two servers on hand and no hostess so it took a while for me to be seated. From what I overheard from a regular that's not typical. But do keep this in mind for your own visit. However, my server was always quick and efficient when she could attend to me. The kitchen staff is also very quick to churn out food. For lunch, all meals come with a spring roll. It's about what you can expect from any roll and duck sauce from an Asian place. My entree was the chicken Gaeng Daeng (Red) curry at a spice level of 10. It was very good. I'd say their 10 is 3-4x as spicy as an average jalapeño.Their lunch portions are generous though for a rice fiend such as myself, they charge $1 for additional rice. I can just make some at home so I took it to go which leads me to the next point.Their to go box is lined with aluminum to keep the sauce from bleeding through. Clever stuff.
I love Thai food and this place Satisfies me. Every dish I have tried is delicious and fresh. The best in Greenville for sure. Yum yum!
Kannika’s Thai Kitchen is really good. There are a few reasons to enjoy this place: BYOB and the green curry is amazing and consistent every time!
