I cannot recommend this family-run place enough! Fresh cooked food, the friendliest most efficient staff, the BEST burger in town, you can go ahead and order it as rare as you like the beef is ground on premises, and before you know it you're going to be a regular just like all the others who also love the place and keep coming back for delicious Greek Italian food made tasty fresh. Excellent lunch special too, great selections for that, and the best bargain in Taylors.
Annette, a new server, was great! Our food was delicious. We tried the chicken piccatta and homemade lasagna.
$25=Toasted ravioli, chicken marsala, side salad, garlic bread and a drink. Real local italian/Greek eatery. The atmosphere was a quaint dining room perfect for casual to formal dining.
My group of seven came to Italian Garden to celebrate my granddaughters graduation. We ordered a variety of different menu selections and all our orders were delicious. Our waitress Cheryl was exceptional as well as the owner who came over to greet us. We all agreed that we will all be back again.
Great place for casual Italian & Greek food. Visited for the first time recently, when I took a customer for lunch, group of 6, and they seated us immediately. The owner greeted me when I entered, and took our orders, he was very nice and attentive. Orders came out quickly, had a variety of dishes, and everyone said they really enjoyed their meal. Very reasonably priced as well. Will be back.
Small dinner salad with Greek dressing was good but could use feta cheese. Shrimp scampi was very good…great flavor and many shrimp. Fresh fried flounder was a disappointment. Menu says fresh but it is not…shape of each piece was identical..likely frozen not fresh. German potatoes were good but not sure they were German style. Small dinner salad, which comes with entree, came first..then entree and then appetizer when requested. Hard to enjoy all at the same time. Next time it will be Italian.
Quaint little Greek Italian place in an old monterrey building. The service here is stellar.. Not just our waitress but the other ones around us were so warm and friendly. We ordered an appetizer and it was pretty good.. Sampler of calimari/mozz sticks / mushrooms. I ordered the chickem picatta.. Although the service level here makes it hard to complain I have to be honest this was silimar to a lean cuisine. Chicken wasnt great, and the sauce was jelly like/thick clear gravy vs a picatta lemon butter caper sauce. Pasta was bland and the dish wasn't very tasty. My friends calzone was great though and he enjoyed it. Side salad lettuce was wilted and warm with a sad little tomato and cucumber slice on top. Again the service was really good but the food fell short for $50 for two.
If you like the bland taste of another corporate chain this is not the place for you,I have not only eaten here but I worked here and when I say I been chef for a while and I have never seen the passion and love this family and those who work here put into this food... It is unrivaled and I don't think that our wade Hampton residents truly understand or appreciate this gem they have, but those of you that support this beautiful Italian restaurant and appropriate it as much I do from the bottom, no my whole heart I truly thank you.My son also wants more of that amazing chocolate cake and a shout out to Chef, he runs a tight ship but he's a real chef in my book. Love you guysChef David Stauber
This is a lovely little restaurant. My family and I have been coming here for quite some time now, and we've never had a bad experience except for one time with an inexperienced waiter, who has since then greatly improved his performance. The food is always good, the staff is friendly and attentive, and we have nothing but good things to say about the place. Don't be deterred by these negative reviews. My wife and I read a lot of them, and boy, are they not only overly exaggerated, but most petty. I understand every establishment has their off days, but these guys are more than willing to make things right IF they were to mess something up. Again, I can't say enough good things about Italian Garden, and hope to see them for many years to come, Lord willing.
Friendly, nice staff! Really enjoyed eating here with my 90 yr old Mom & hubs! It was part of her Christmas present. Unfortunately we're from NC or we'd return often! We all remarked that we wish it was closer to home! We'd definitely return when we are back this way!!! Recommend eating here! (Easy to navigate wheelchair into restaurant & bathroom too.)
