I stayed on the 8th floor and apparently there was a leak somewhere. There was a large fan that was being used to dry the area. The area smelled wet or moldy. In addition, the gentlemen who checked me in neglected to share with me that there would be a significant hold on my account. This was embarrassing for me when I went to a local restaurant and my charge was DECLINED!!! Thank God I had another card that I was able to use. This would have been avoided if I knew of the hold. Every other place I styed shared this information with me. In addition, there was no discussion on how parking would go. We ended up paying every time we left the property. No major issue here...I just wish that this was all explained upon check in. Room was dated but sufficient. Within waling distance of many local restaurants and shops.....
Beautiful hotel. Great location. The toilet was awfully low, which was a surprise. I loved being able to enter Rooster restaurant from the hotel. I did not like to have to pay nearly 30.00 for valet parking.
I always expect the best from this hotel because they always deliver it! The location is awesome. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! Rooms are always in good condition and kept up to date. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Excellent location walking distance to anything you could possibly need. Beautiful well accommodated and comfortable rooms, so much so I barely wanted to leave. Came during Christmas season had trees up decorated beautiful. Very relaxing place hard to match.
I love the engineered wood flooring in the rooms. Too many hotels have carpet in the rooms which trap dirt and odor. You will love having access to Roost restaurant as well as Starbucks. Overall nice hotel.
this hotel is right on Main Street so you’re in the center of attractions downtown. unfortunately, it’s a very old hotel that needs updating, yet they still charge high prices. the pillows in my room were all stained. the soap dish in the shower was made of metal and it was all rusted. there’s mold and dirt in the grout in shower tile. the breakfast was not good at all. Buffet breakfast. the server had an attitude and kept rilling her eyes when I asked for something. There were homeless people sitting outside on the hotel lounge. the good thing is they have a very large lounge with lots of sitting areas. but that was filthy. the furniture is filthy, the rugs are filthy. The bathroom had a strong urine smell see the attached photos. a general manager Should be held accountable friendly doorman
Domestic violence in the room next door. Called 911 on my cell since room phone was not working. Hotel did not address the victim’s safety as well as ours. Left 3 messages for GM who has yet to call back.
Live Music on Thursday and Friday evening, great restaurants and breweries aplenty... Parks w/in walking distance. Dropped the car off to the valet and never moved it the entire time. Lots to see/do w/in walking distance. A great find for a first timer in Greenville.
My wife Monica loves Downtown Greenville!!! The live band was Awesome!!!! Its walking distance to all of the great restaurants, parks, and interstate highways. No heavy traffic or rude people. Everybody was so friendly!!!
I highly recommend Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Great location, good food, lots to do in the area, a friendly staff to assist you with any problems. Great staff in the bar and cafe areas.
