When I tell you this is the best Italian food I’ve ever had…I have no words. SO GOOD! Service was excellent, and every single food we had was absolutely amazing. I won’t eat Italian food anywhere else again. I will be back!!!
All the raves are 100% accurate, hubby and I loved every bite. The very sweet owner greeted us as we sat down, told us the specials. It’s a very small restaurant, luckily we arrived early around 5:20 (we didn’t have reservations). It was packed within 20 minutes, this on a Thursday evening. We had the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, Caesar salad, gnocchi with veal and the special truffle ravioli. Almost licked our plates , everything was so delicious. Service was excellent (a bit slow for our entrees) but perfection takes time I guess! Fabulous meal.
I travel around the entire US and every year I seem to discover a hidden jem.Giovannis is my favorite hidden jem in the last year. Ambiance is great! Service is wonderful! Food was fantastic! The bread, Calamari, Chicken Parmigiana and mushroom ravioli were all unbelievable. Malbec wine paired well with the parmigiana. Great experience I highly recommend.
Wow, what a hidden Italian restaurant gem!!! The food was absolutely amazing, service was quick and very authentic. This has to be the best Italian restaurant in Greenville South Carolina.The owner and everyone there was extremely nice and attentive. We will definitely be going back again!
Wonderful authentic Italian food and service. Intimate and small restaurant, which is lovely. Worth a wait. Our meals were absolutely delicious.
Food so great, it's worth the wait! They have a great regular menu, but the specials are wonderful too. Family owned and run. Excellent. Our new "go to" for authentic Italian food in the Greenville area.
My teen and I decided to stop by Giovanni’s for dinner on Wednesday. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The owner walked around and talked to each table to make sure everyone was taken care of. We ordered the piccata and the Marsala meals along with some gnocchi in creamy tomato sauce. The food was incredible! The only reason I had a to go box was because I was so full. Everything that came out of the kitchen was fresh and delicious. My teen hates tomatoes, but she ended up eating several pieces of bruschetta because it was so fresh and delicious. We ended up going back Friday to order another meal to go and try their delicious cannolis. We ate the cannolis right in the parking lot because we didn’t even want to wait to get home! Our meals were worth every penny.
Giovanni’s was amazing! They don’t take reservations so go early or late because it’s a very small cozy restaurant. Great service, entire wait staff worked as a team to take care of us. Order the lobster ravioli, you will NOT regret it!!! I’m still dreaming of that dish! The Caesar salad was also great, perfectly dressed with lots of parm!
Went for dinner with my husband for our anniversary. Everything was delicious. Being new here from NY it felt like I’d never find authentic Italian food but we were very impressed! Will definitely be back !
First right off the bat I have to laugh at the two or three low reviews out of the long list. My wife and I have been going to Giovanni's for around 20 years. On occasion Giovanni is really busy or had a less than perfect day like the rest of the planet ... big surprise as he is a human being lol like the rest of us. His family, the staff and he are wonderful people. His prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is fantastic and the food is really good. If you came here once and "oh I will never come back" go home and look in the mirror you will likely see the source of the problem. We will be there on our 25th Silver anniversary and looking forward to it!
