I haven’t been to this establishment in about a year. Usually the food is flavorful and the service is top shelf. I brought in a new customer and felt bad b/c I brought him there??♀️ The steak that they used in his philly cheese omelette tasted like it was either old or lamb?♀️ Either way…it definitely didn’t taste like it should have. He exchanged it out with a build your own sandwich deal. Which he liked along with the pancake. I ordered the shrimp and grits bowl. Bland would be the adjective of choice for this bowl. I question coming back honestly?♀️
Highly recommend!Visiting from out of town and wanted to find a local breakfast places close to the hotel. This was a bit of a walk from the hotel but it was my favorite of all the places I ate.Knew I was in the right place when the waitress knew from memory what the local diners typically ordered.Eggs were done perfectly (over medium for me). The potatoes were probably my favorite part of the meal. Very flavorful with a blend of savory and sweet. Even the grits were good and I'm not typically a grits kind of guy!
Two of us visited for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning. The restaurant was about half full. During the wait for our food, we saw "to go" orders flying out the door. As 45 min stretched into an hour-long wait, my companion, who is in the food service industry, figured it out (and we later confirmed). This Eggs Up is running a "ghost kitchen" whereby they prepare to-go orders under a different name for delivery services like Door Dash, Uber Eats and GrubHub. It was a good way for some restaurants to survive Covid when in-person visits waned. However, the problem is this restaurant doesn't have the capacity and cook staff to do both well when it's busy, and the loyal in-person guests are the ones who suffer. We both felt most sorry for the servers who are doing a great job, but are resigned to keep refilling the coffee while the wait for food drags on. The manager was very nice and comped our meal and that of the table next to us, but be aware that, for now, during busy "to-go" periods, this model is broken.
Have been here on 2 previous occasions and it was very good. So disappointed last week, we will probably never go back. Food was terrible. Hash tasted like a very cheap canned brand, poached eggs were served cold and still in water. Coffee was weak. Bacon tasted like it was at least a day old!!! Grits weren't cooked, watery and cold. Worst English muffin we've ever eaten...and it tasted like it was at least a day or 2 expired!!! It's so ? upsetting to pay good money $30 for bad food.
We had been to another location when we were in Myrtle Beach last fall and it was very good, this location however was odd to say the least, our server had her infant child in a front facing backpack carrier thing while continuing to work. Not the most sanitary situation to say the least. The food was ok but when I ask for my scrambler eggs cooked well done, that means I don't want them all soft and mushy like they came out.
Very lovely little place. We’re in town for a convention and grabbed breakfast here. The founder’s hash Benedict is a must-try! It’s a nice twist on a traditional dish and was very yummy!
Had our Sunday breakfast here over the long weekend. The breakfast burrito was awesome . The Texas omelette could’ve been a bit better without the pickled jalapeños and by dropping the house fries.Simplify loved the strawberry cheesecake pancake. Will surely be back here for breakfast next time we are in Greenville!
I ordered the steak and eggs. It was cooked perfectly! No sauce needed ??!!! Paid bill through QR scan code (pretty cool!)
Very good breakfast platter!Scrambled eggs with cheese, grits, home fries, bacon, sausage, toast...what more could you ask for?Very friendly and polite staff definitely made the stop a pleasant one.
Greta place to stop by and get some tasty breakfast.
