Great place for BBQ! First time back to this place after visiting often back in 1993. Glad to see it's still open, expanded and just as good.
My brother got catered BBQ for family reunion. This place has everything perfected for catering...sauces, pans for sides, etc. BBQ was good...ive had better but I'm also from NC. Tea was great...strong and not too sweet. Now I know why my brother says he gets it all the time.By the way, sauce is not very spicy so always ask for the very hot which had a X on the bottle...it is passable.
Charlie’s is our go-to place for take out when we come into Greenville for a visit. Lots of grill items but don’t skip the barbecue. Order for 4 or more and get a bottle of the sauce.
Sides suck, bbq sauce and sandwich was sub par, tea is good. That’s it.
The BEST sweet tea and BBQ in South Carolina! Highly recommend.
I took my grandsons there for lunch❤️. The food was awesome and plenty of it. Fresh to order. Guys were friendly. My family has enjoyed Charlie's for many years. Best BBQ ever!!!!!! ?
The bbq pork tasted awful. Tastes like wet mush with bbq sauce. The beans are good but probably canned. The hamburgers were ok but they are obviously premade and frozen. Staff not very friendly. Won't be back.
Fast service during the peak of lunch. Food was delicious.

Every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I order a smoked turkey. Well!!! This year was no exception and Charlie's BBQ NAILED it as they do every year!!! The turkey IS amazing!!!! Least not forget the jezebul sauce :) Thank you for an exceptional supper!!! Tracy
