I originally reviewed Bucky's in 2014 and rated them Very Good. I have eater there and bought take-out many times since. I rarely rate a business poor or terrible but I have no problem doing that today. I stopped at Bucky's mid-afternoon on a recent Saturday and ordered a light take-out plate. When I opened the meal at home and began to eat I realized that fully 50% of the BBQ was inedible rind, gristle and fat. Frankly, I was very surprised. I have always thought that Bucky's was a high value/lower priced BBQ joint. Management needs to keep a closer eye on the people dicing the Q and prepping plates. Half of what they put in my take-out plate should have gone in the trash. In an effort to be fair the other half was edible but average. The sides were fine. You may want to check your take-out orders in the car before leaving.
Got the sampler plate. Ribs are the best between the chicken and pork. Very moist doesn’t need sauce but mustard and tomato sauce are really flavorful.
First time here. Food is good. Pulled pork sandwhich had enough meat that I didnt need bun. Potato salad a little more mustard than I'm use to but still good. Friendly staff. Casual atmosphere. Great little place. Love it. Will come back.
Great food but super slow serving. When I was there they processed through about 1 customer every 45 seconds or so. It took me about 10 minutes to place my order and the line really wasn't that long. Lots of seating because the food service was so very slow.I usually go to the one by Donaldson and probably won't go back to this location given the option.
I finally swung through and got some Bucky's BBQ for lunch. It had been busy and everything seemed to move quickly here. You choose your meet and a couple sides from like a cafeteria style setup. The choices are basic BBQ choices and served fast. The food was very enjoyable and folks were friendly. The meat was very good flavor and the sides very rich. Prices were fair for what you receive, big portions and quality food.
The BBQ is always tender and tasty. You get alot of food for a cheap price. Laid back atmosphere. The entire staff is quick, and very friendly. Blake is always patient and helpful.The Cajun pintos he recommended are amazing! I come here at least once a week ?
First time review. I have had the pulled pork and the ribs many times and they are always delicious. Today I tried the chicken for the first time. Wow. Falling off the bone tender and so delicious I didn't even use the sauce. The macaroni is great too with plenty of cheese. The sweet potato crunch was perfect. So creamy. Not stringy like some can be. Don't know how they do it. So if your in the mood for great bbq or chicken, you need to give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
My husband just attended this location March 19th in the afternoon and NONE of the employees were wearing gloves, including the gentlemen preparing his food, he touched the bread with his bare hands! That is absolutely disgusting! We will no longer go to this location.
The food was awesome. However the pork chopper was a bit aggressive. Difficult to have a conversation with this huge guy chopping pork with a huge butcher knife like he's got a personal vendetta every time some orders. Even scares the children. Smh...
A big shout out to Bucky's for a great job on catering our special occasion for our daughter's celebration of life. The food was great, the delivery person was top notch and everything was perfect. Food was delivered hot and ready to eat. The portions were large. It made our tribute to our daughter very special. Thanks again Bucky's....
