Great food and overall good staff. I have been brought a steak overcooked but they were quick to replace it. Could use a little updating. My one main issue is how dirty the floors get when busy. They clean the tables but don't sweep between seatings. I don't want to step on the last family's kids green beans and mashed potatoes he threw under the table.Still I love the ribeye, the prime rib, and their salads.

Service was extremely slow and it definitely felt unwelcoming to be there. Had to get up from my seat multiple times just to have basic questions answered. Went during mid-day where there wasn't even a lot of people there. The food was only ok. Not worth the asking price. By the time we got the food it had been such a long wait in-between waiting for drinks that we just decided to pay and take the food to go.We had got hot wings and the grilled tuna. The hotwings had an ok sauce but only came with 7 fairly small wings. The tuna was very bland even with the sauce provided compared to other grilled tuna I've had before. if I had to rate the food individually it would be 2 and a half out of 5 stars for the price. On top of the very slow service means I can't honestly recommend anyone eat at this location until improvements are made.

Great service and food. Wait staff were wonderful..our table had gumbo, ousters fresh and heated-garlic butter, mahi grilled, prime rib sandwich, burger fries and sweet potato waffle fries happy hour yuegling on tap..$3.25! Recommend and will be back! Like a neighborhood restaurant

Excellent quality food in an unassuming environment! Great service, huge portions, fresh ingredients, and nice menu diversity! Close enough to downtown to be convenient, but just far enough out to keep the crowds at bay! I can see why it’s been a Greenville staple for decades! Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some quality food at reasonable prices in the downtown/Augusta Rd area!

I ordered the raw oysters here and they were amazing! Also, the bloody Mary was just how Iiked it. I tried some of my friends' food, and everything I tasted was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. I highly enjoyed my dining experience here and would recommend it to anyone who loves oysters or just a great restaurant with a variety of dishes.

Read reviews and decided to give the Blockhouse a try. I ordered the ribeye and was underwhelmed. Steak was overcooked, quite thin and didn't have a lot of flavor. Good steaks don't need sauce; I had to use A1. For the price, I don't think it was worth it. $33 for a steak and 1 side.Service was slow, it was later in the evening when we went and the bar was packed. Likely due to staffing shortages.Probably won't be back.

the service was loudly I did not tip.. poor service I don't think I will be back.

Best in the upstate for drink and food

We go here because the food is great. But sat at the bar today for lunch. Staff behind the bar used profanity, talked about their personal lives and about a funeral of someone they all know. Too many good places to eat in Greenville where you don’t have to listen to this type of banter while trying to enjoy a simple lunch on a Monday.

Sunday lunch special!!!YUMMY!!! Great service, great food, great friends !!!LOTS OF FUN!!! Cyndi is an incredible bartender… she can be swamped and make you feel special and like you are you the most important person there… nothing rattles her…
