The food and service at Basilico is absolutely phenomenal. From the whipped feta and warm bread, this well kept secret behind Haywood Mall will take your tastebuds on a culinary journey. We order the antipasto salad and it could easily feed four. For entrees we indulged in the past offerings. I had the mushroom ravioli and my friend had the lasagna. Both incredibly fresh tasting and full of flavor. For dessert, we split a slice of chocolate cake and were left speechless by the richness so much so we each took another slice home. The service was on par with any upscale eatery. Great experience!
We found the restaurant on Google and decided to try it out. The food was good and the dessert was amazing! Definitely will go back for a second visit. NOTE: The servers need to tie their hair back in a pony tail! When serving food, anything past your shoulders should be tied back when serving food or working in a kitchen.
In the lunch I was with my friends and the attention was excellent, we didn't have to wait to sit down at a table and the food was delicious!!! They also serve excellent wines, we are definitely going back.
Absolutely great place to eat. Their customer service was very on point and the manager was very knowledgeable and polite. We always have a wonderful time dining in at this restaurant. Perfect for date nights or a night out with the family. Highly recommend the Seafood Diablo. The complimentary bread was very tasty. Wish I could eat at this restaurant every day.
We went for a late lunch-early dinner. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly guy in the front and some amazing desserts in the dessert case. He and the wait staff were very warm and friendly. I was very surprised just how many servers there were for this medium-sized restaurant. There were six total, one nicer than the next.We started out with the appetizer sampler. Very delicious. A tiny bit overdone, but everything was nice and crispy. The tomato sauce for dipping was very good, too. After the appetizer we decided to split a Caesar salad. Also delicious. I was a little surprised the dressing was on the side but that was fine. Lots of slivers of cheese on the salad which made it extra yummy..Instead of trying any of the fantastic looking entrees on the menu, we went with pizza. We asked for mushrooms and sausage. This has to be one of the best pizzas we've had since moving to Greenville 6 years ago. The sausage was sliced not crumbles. The crust was thin, crispy yet fluffy and airy. It truly was perfect. Not a lot of sauce on this pizza but if you like cheese, this is the place to go!Something else we noticed that was really great about the atmosphere. The music. It was all popular songs you would recognize, but done by female artists in a jazz- bossa nova style. It really helped make the ambiance special and relaxing.I found the place quite accidentally by just searching "pizza near me" when we were by the mall, and Basilico popped up. It had great reviews, so that's why we decided to try it. I'm glad we were able to also give it a 5-star review. Can't wait to go back!
Moderately upscale and good food and service. Everyone at our table ordered the lasagna and found it delicious!
The food is phenomenal!! By far the Best Italian food in the county! Atmosphere is superb!! Daniel is Awesome!!! Maria the owner is great!!! Thank you for such a Great dining experience!! Just like our favorite Italian back in Chicago!!The house made cheesecake is fabulous!!
OMG!!! This was quite literally some of the best food I've had the pleasure of eating in a very long time. Our waiter was Chris and he was fantastic! I will definitely visit again.
I was absolutely blown away by the food, the atmosphere, the music, and the service!Chris was our server. He was so polite and pleasant to have assist us with our wine, food recommendations, and desert choices. He definitely went out of his way to make sure everything was pleasant. The baked bread with the fetta/yogurt spread was delicious, it was seasond and had a nice heat to it.The entrée portion sizes were perfect! They definitely make sure that even if you don't get desert, you won't leave hungry. The lasagna was huge, and the meat sauce was probably the best ive had at a restaurant. The chicken piccata was delicious, fresh capers with a light and zesty lemon butter sauce. Simply perfect meals. We did order desert, and WOW! These were probably the best desserts we've had anywhere. The cheesecake was savory, with the sweetest fresh strawberries, and was presented beautifully. The tiramisu was fantastic too! The lady fingers were light and airy, with just the right amount of marscapone, a delicate sweetness and didn't leave that heavy feeling that many deserts do after a large meal.Id you're in the area and looking for a place that really cares about the type of food they serve, definitely stop by. I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed by any part of the dining experience here.
Exactly what my wife and I were looking for, a classy restaurant that doesn't break the bank. Amazing food and service. Our server was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. Great for a date night, special occasion or just because you want the most authentic Italian food in Greenville. Looking forward to our return visit.
