Got Steak Hibachi… steak was chewy and cold and had absolutely no flavor. Ordered drinks and got the wrong drinks. Also ordered chicken on a stick… same thing, no flavor.
I have been going to Ocean island in goose creek for 12 years. I always try different Chinese spots but they always let me down. Usually it’s the quality of the food, that it isn’t fresh. Today I decided to try a different spot for the first time in a long time. China Gourmet ended my 12 year stent!!! It was amazing! Definitely the best spot around. You get great quality and amount for the price! It tasted extremely fresh. Will be back a lot.
I’m here for vacation, from New York. And I ordered shrimp broccoli w fried shrimp rice and it was just amazing never expected so good food.I recommend it 100%
Very disappointed. The cream cheese wontons didn't have any cream cheese in them. It was just fried wonton wrapper with some sort of seasoning inside.. I did not get the correct rice, ordered regular fried rice and got shrimp fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken was over cooked and the chicken was rock hard and made it difficult to eat. The rice is Japanese hibachi styled fried rice, not the typical Chinese yellow rice. the general tso's chicken was fine, had good flavor and cooked well. For spending over $60 for two people, I expected a much higher quality of food. If this style Chinese is up your alley, you may like it. Personally we were disappointed in the quality of food we received.

Occasionally, I crave some good "American" Chinese food. Hopefully, anyone getting it knows it isn't the healthiest but I also know that's usually not why anyone gets it. This location is great. I can recommend the Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and General Tso's Chicken. Ordering online, you can also add egg to your fried rice, among many other options. Very convenient.
Hot, fresh. But they just sit your order. They don't tell you it's ready so unless you watch and ask you dont know
We order here at least once a month. The food is always delicious, hot, plentiful and ready to pick up in 15 minutes.

Just placed an order online for shrimp and chicken hibachi, no rice only meat and veggies. Called to make sure the note was added correctly before they delivered. I was told that it was added correctly. I waited over an hour for the food, when it arrived, it was wrong! The food had no veggies, only rice and meat. After waiting an hour, I was hungry and did not want to wait for 30mins for them to send the correct order. I told them that I would bring the food back and take a refund. I was told that they can't give a refund, only credit. This place needs to learn that if it is their mistake and the customer wants a refund, then that is what should be done! If my order is incorrect, you can't MAKE me keep your food and you keep my money! This place was once a place with good customer service, but I definitely won't be back here and I won't recommend this place to anyone!
