Not the greatest experience. I will grant you it was May 5, aka Cinco de Mayo. But that is ZERO excuse for the lack of service. And you had at least 8 waitresses; you were not under-staffed. It was also my daughter-in-law's birthday dinner.. We were seated around quarter past 6 and for the next hour, the only service we got was the chips and salsa and our drink order. And the drinks came very late. People who came in after us were seated, drinked, ordered, were fed, and almost finished BEFORE our order was even taken. And this was after complaining to mgmt TWICE already. To say we did not have a wonderful experience is an understatement. It may be a one-time deal, but it will be quite a long time...IF EVER...before you get our business again.
A hidden gem. Salsa was solid. The carne asada street tacos, rice and beans were delicious. My gf had the braised carnitas with green sauce ( Verde perhaps) and ate every bite. We were surprised that we were the only ones in the place on a Wednesday. I know they are under new ownership, so maybe just getting started. If you LOVE Mexican food. Go there before everyone finds out about it! ??
Food is delicious. Pricing is not the most affordable but it's not too bad either. It's worth spending a little extra to get a delicious lunch for me.
Since they change ownership the food has gone down in quality and quantity.Their tacos now are $3.50 and they barely put any meat on them.Way too expensive for what it is.
Tacos are pretty good, burrito was meh. I didn't care for their tortillas. They just taste like flour. Service is good. I want to try this place again to see if the entrées are good, but otherwise I might not re-visit. I think there are better places in the area for Mexican food.
The restaurant was impecably clean. I got the carne asada sopes, I liked the fresh toppings, sliced tomato, lettuce, crema, avocado- the refried beans spread on the bottom need a little salt, but all together its a hearty meal. Without the meat, its a good vegeterian option. I tried Esquites for the first time, its like Mexican street corn in a cup instead of on the cobb- I was happy with that find.
La Tapatia Tienda y Taqueria has really good tacos. Had them for the crew twice this week. The steak or shredded beef are both tasty. Really good Portion sizes to full you up. Great prices that won't break the bank. It's usually jam packed on Saturday. And they even have a small grocery section in case you need to get something for the house. Parking is free.
Amazing tacos! I’m from NY and there aren’t really any places that compare to real tacos down here except for this spot. I came here because I live nearby and was looking for some authentic Mexican tacos. This is the place, hands down. All ingredients are so fresh. The way they cook the meat is delicious and the tortillas that come with the tacos as well! I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic delicious food.
Love this place, food is excellent.it's authentic. Staff is great. Loved it
Authentic. Don't expect a big menu. But what they make, they make very well. The rice and beans are good enough to eat alone which for me is a good test. The choripollo is my favorite. Well seasoned! This is my go to in the Indian Land area.
