We've always had a good meal at Fish Market! Ruben our waiter was awesome!! Highly recommend!
we ordered the mussels for an appetizer, and they were plentiful and delicious. Our server was great, enthusiastic and pleasant and did a very good job. The evening was lovely, a perfect martini and fish and chips.
We had a bit of a wait before our server (Sara) greeted us. We were seated by a half-wall and I think she had trouble seeing that she had been sat! But afterward greeting us, she was friendly and attentive, and apologetic for the wait. The star of the meal was the She Crab Soup. It was delicious!! The Biscuit with Gravy meal was okay, but the cheddar biscuits were a little dry in my opinion. The breakfast potatoes were tasty and cooked properly. The Salmon Tacos were a generous portion and were flavorful. The pasta salad was a little dry but had a good flavor.
We visited Fish Market as a family for Charlotte Restaurant Week. Fish Market was on our list of places to try based on the recommendation of a friend who recently visited. At first glance, Fish Market offers a charming low country atmosphere with an endearing wrap-around porch, outdoor seating and an open courtyard. Located in Baxter Village, it provides the option for people watching while enjoying dinner or lunch in the outdoor area. After seating, it took some time to receive service. After speaking with the Front of the House manager, we were assigned a waitress and quickly received our drinks. Although they were short-staffed, our server was very kind and patient. She was obviously a bit overwhelmed. Our food and beverages was great. I had the tuna tataki as the first course which was fresh and light as expected. The scallops and corn risotto were rich and savory for the second courseâpleasantly complimented by the mango mocktail. I was disappointed that the entree included bay scallops instead of sea scallopsâa bit of a miss in my opinion. The final course included a semi-homemade peach cobbler a la mode. Fresh peaches accompanied by a crumble topping left a bit to be desired. I prefer a handmade crust. Overall, it was a great experience. I plan to visit again, as I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere and location. I am intrigued enough to try additional entrees.
Trevor was an amazing server! Each course from dinner on last evening was delicious along with the cocktails. Highly recommend.
Decided to give Fish Market a try after being in the area for 5 years and came away very surprised. Not to mentioned we decided to go during Charlotte restaurant week. The was very good, and service excellent. I will be going back.
Went for Queenâs Feast. The appetizers were okay, but the Seafood Pasta was great! Generous portions and the bread was a perfect addition. Dessert seemed mediocre or maybe we were just stuffed from the entrees but the overall experience was great!
Service was great
Great dinner with friends. Would recommend to others.
I think our waiter was new, alot of oversights. My wife's meal ( surf&turf) was excellent; mine (lambchops) were small, only two, overcooked, and not enjoyable.
